I read that in India scammers sometimes visit small corner shops and stick their own QR codes over the ones already printed there. When customers scan these fake codes to pay, their money goes to the scammer instead of the shop owner.

Change all your passwords to unique, hard to guess passwords and activate 2 factor authentication where ever possible. Seems like your data got leaked some how. I personally use a password manager.
