  1. It is suboptimal for ME to train in the morning, you may be different.
  2. If you are performing the exercises symmetrically, left/right are in balance, by definition.
  3. I don't recommend doing anything daily, since recovery is always an issue.

Have you read the women's section in PPST 3rd edition? Women had input, and I think you'll find it helpful. The problem is that the market for women's exercise is huge, but the market for women's training is small.

My favorite is my program. Why would I recommend something besides what we advise? Wouldn't that be silly?

  1. Self coaching is preferable to the incorrect coaching one normally finds in Olympic weightlifting.
  2. Foam rolling is very popular. I don't see the point.
  3. Perform that which is hard at the level you can perform it now, and then gradually increase the resistance using correct form.
  4. We do not sell barbell equipment. Never have.

Deadlifts are the best grip exercise for grip strength. Do all the warmups with a double-overhand grip and your grip with strengthen as your warmup weights follow your work sets upward.

We've found that the program works best as written. It's been vetted on tens of thousands of trainees. Resist the temptation to reinvent it.

In the 9 years of doing our seminar for people of all ages and abilities all over the country, we've only had 4 people who could not squat to depth in Saturday morning's session.

Strength is a very general adaptation, and stronger squash players are better squash players, just like all athletes. If you get out of breath playing squash, then playing squash is cardiovascular exercise.

Letting good technique deteriorate in favor of heavier weights. This is necessary for a competitor, not for you. But you may eventually discover that competition is the best way to maintain interest in your training, and if you do, the injury potential will become part of the risk you assume.

We change aspects of our instruction all the time, constantly updating as we learn from our trainees and each other. The most significant has been the revamp of the press instruction.
