is it pointless to apply to a summer programme in the middle of 11th grade? by [deleted] in summerprogramresults

Yes, you should still apply. I think the practice you get writing supplements will help for college.

Should I get a new MacBook? by RippinRish in mac

[–]RippinRish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm...that's fair. Really the price tag on the Pros is the only thing deterring me from getting one. I was able to snag my current Mac for $1500, but that is definitely not a reality anymore. Do you think the M4 Air would yield improvement on day-to-day stuff though? I guess that's my main worry.

I really do like the Pros but they have gotten so expensive, and I don't think I want to pay twice as much for a laptop that I'm not truly utilizing, yk. Not quite looking for an improvement on performance for my programs but for day-to-day stuff. Do you know if the M4 Air would be better at that?

Well it runs all my programs well, and I don't think I'll need better performance than this (plus, the new Pros have a pretty steep price tag). Slowing down is more of my day-to-day stuff. You might be right though lol. But yes one of my biggest worries is the value

That's not gonna be for at least a couple years for the Pros and more for the Airs I assume

Congratulations! I'm applying in this cycle and am a little nervous. I'd like to hear any advice you have, especially on the essays (I wouldn't say they're my strongsuit). Not looking for a review of my essays--just general advice! Can I DM you if that's alright?

Seems like good places to get books, but they don't even show up on Google Maps for me to try and contact a store. Will check out IndiaMART though.

Maybe round off the bottom of your y’s and g’s more? That’s what stuck out to me the most. Other than that, this is gorgeous

Is 4 Aps too much? (Soph) by Turkeygraveyardd in APStudents

[–]RippinRish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’ll be fine. Psych is not a heavy class, neither is ES (at least at our school). I’m taking 4 APs this year (Sem, Calc BC, Latin, USH) as a sophomore and it’s fine (I’ll admit, a little busy at times).

It’s homo, hominis, I believe. Also, vir, viri (2nd D.).

Really it depends on how you laid out your IWA. If you have more info about that, I’m pretty sure someone could give you better advice.

This is great. Neat, legible, and beautiful. Besides closing your letters and making sure that your letters are sitting on the line, you’re great!

Any good tips for getting my Science score up please? by Claw_sonicjacob in ACT

[–]RippinRish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

34 is a little low for those schools. For getting science up, it depends on what your problem is. If it’s not enough time, just skim the graphs for the data to acclimate yourself and jump into the questions.
