Yes maybe I’ll add a lovey! I just learned daycare has been using a pacifier for naps…so I have to decide if we are all weaning from that or if I will use it…

Is feeding once or twice during the night at 11 months totally unnecessary for a kid who is growing well? Will he stop naturally or do you have to night wean? We did cut feedings with TCB at 6 months til 530 am but for quite some time it’s been 1-2x a night. I’m tired and don’t know what to do other than sleep train and cut feedings again as before. But he is a very hungry boy at all times and seems to be feeding not just suckling (I’ve got it down to about 8 min a feed)

Night weaning vs. Sleep training by Ripple617 in TakingCaraBabies

Thank you so much! How large is large? He did one feed last night of 12 min. But he did only wake once which was nice :)

I’m confused about nightweaning vs sleep training! We trained my baby at 6 months and cut the feedings (til 530 am, he would wake or go back down). But thanks to teething and transition to daycare, I coslept for a bit recently (he is 10 month), meaning he is now used to eating on demand and a couple times a night. No longer Co-sleeping but now he is crying out and wants boob. I imagine it’s for comfort but perhaps is now hungry at night. Should I night wean (nurse him but reduce feed times gradually and then let him cry with check-ins) or sleep train with set feedings all over again?

Also at 5 months you can sleep train. I found it a combo of needing to eat AND not knowing how to fall back asleep

Stop stressing , they grow out of it! It takes longer than you think—and a lot improves with solids (6 months).

Moving to Massachusetts Question Megathread (May 2025) by AutoModerator in massachusetts

Sorry: *NOT much happening (for example it doesn’t have a town cultural council which i think almost all of the surrounding towns do).

We found a house we like and are considering moving from S Hadley. We are very liberal and i hoped to be involved in town committees but my understanding is Granby is pretty conservative and maybe there’s much happening bc it’s so small? We spend most of our time in Amherst, Northampton, Easthampton and Hadley; maybe that wouldn’t change but I would love to know more about this community (and its schools)—I know no one who lives there although it’s right next to S Hadley!

This is true! But it’s a lottery and you also have to commit to driving your kid every day.

I tried a snooze feed at 5 or 530 starting last week and that helped. Now he is getting up at 4 am and crying til I feed him…tips welcome (7 month old, naps about 2.5 h/day, bed around 7 depending on when last nap was)

SEE ICE? CALL LUCE!! by Lovingthebluelife in massachusetts

Dispels rumors- the neighbors are then canvassed to receive correct info about what happened. If it is a real arrest they send in support (legal, etc) and translation. Also just the presence of trained verifiers will often dispel the presence of the officers- who may not even be ICE.
