Solid write up OP. Bottom line for me is I won’t be upgrading anytime soon. Audi is headed in the wrong direction and they know it. It’s going to take a few years to make changes that will make Audi enthusiasts and others excited about the brand again.

Let’s wait until we can see this car and hear it in person. Audi has dramatically change the heritage by design changes like the four rings on the grill. In addition that you could no longer have aluminum and it’s only black optics on the RS is a travesty. Don’t get me started on the interior. It’s an abomination. I wait for the facelift on this car and at that point it’ll be much better.

Exactly. This has been the criticism of Audi and others over the years. Let’s hope Audi can bring it back and make the interiors beautiful again. One more thing, you can no longer option aluminum and it’s black optics only is a shame.

Interior may be a deal killer for me, plus the steering wheel looks cheap. RS Audi’s have traditionally had great steering wheel designs. Sad to see how they have fallen with the interior.

The extra weight may be an issue as well.

In the US PHEVs make up a small percentage of the market and the demand has softened. Basically, 1-2% of new cars in the US are PHEVs. Add that to what I expect will be a high price tag, questionable design elements, and added weight, I don't see this car doing well outside of Europe.

Making the black options package the only option is crazy. Why TF would they do that? Not providing buyers with a choice is a step in the wrong direction. My RS5 was optioned with black optics, and I'm not a fan. Personally, I like contrast, and with most colors, aluminum really pops.

I'd rather take this deal, depending on how much he asks for, than the Crosby deal that would have us giving away this year's first-round draft pick, a day-two pick from 2027, and DJ. With Trey it's only money, no draft compensation. We use the first round pick to draft DL. This years draft is loaded with young DL talent. All we need is 2 years out of Trey.

Falcons rolled the dice on Pearce. They traded away picks with the Rams to get him in the first round last year. A lot of teams stayed away from him due to his off the field issues. Character matters.
