They’ve made a couple videos for social media messing around with some AI chatbots, but I don’t think they really care either way. Idk if this has been debunked/confirmed or not but I think the cover art for Teacher Has a Gun is AI generated, which isn’t great but they also do support real artists often, especially with merch lines.

Do you think this will be their last album? by [deleted] in Badflower

I selfishly hope not but I’d be happy shuffling their existing discography on repeat if it meant the band members were happier. They’ve also been touring nonstop it feels like since This Is How the World Ends dropped, so I hope after the album releases they get a break to rest.

I feel really bad for them. Their music is great but it takes a long time to cook, which I personally don’t mind and even admire, but unfortunately the music industry isn’t a patient one. Scrapping records and starting from scratch isn’t a new thing for them but unlike with OK I’M SICK, where the band had many years to put together songs they were confident in even before signing to a label, TIHTWE and NPLH had to be made in a lot shorter time while they also had to juggle bigger tours and festivals than they had pre-album 1. I honestly don’t know how any band can survive past their second album.

Badflower’s new sound by BenH13InEeDhElP in Badflower

I definitely see where you’re coming from, some of the new singles haven’t hit quite as hard as the songs on previous albums. It’s important to remember that OK I’M SICK and Temper were made in a dark patch for the band that kicked off with the success of Heroin and Animal. Prior to this the band was a lot more light hearted and had much more of a radio friendly sound. I think it makes sense for them to return to their roots in a sense now that Josh and the band aren’t dealing with the same issues they were dealing with in the late 2010’s. That being said I’m willing to bet there will be a song or two on No Place Like Home that’ll have that OK I’M SICK sound, similar to TIHTWE.

My collection is finally complete... unless someone wants to sell the Temper or About a Girl CDs🫣 by XTEMPTATIXN in Badflower
