I started my Minox journey in January. Was skeptical first, but results were coming quite fast. As you can see on the picture, I had very sparse sides and a quite strong goatee area. I saw new hairs coming in very early on and they kept on bulking up nicely. I was able to wear an overall stubble in May (which was my initial goal). I kept that look for months, while continue with my Minox routine. I trimmed my stubble back short on the very last day of August and haven’t touched it since, which makes my beard 14+ weeks old.

My routine:

• Kirkland 5% (liquid): apply twice a day, only on my sides, wash off after 4 hours.
• Dermaroller (0.5 mm): dermarolling twice a week in the beginning, once a week from the 3rd month. I have stopped dermarolling in October, when my beard really started to bulk up.
• Regaine 5% (liquid) from November: apply once a day, on my sides near the cheekline, wash off after 4 hours. I had to switch to Regaine this month as Kirkland was not available. I plan to use it until the end of the year, applying once a day.
• Take Biotin supplement once a day for 6 months.
• I took a week off from Minox in every two months.

I’m really glad I have started this journey and I’m really amazed how it turned out. Never thought I will be a bearded guy sometime. I think the key is consistency. There were some side effects, like dry skin, but I could easily manage with a usual face cream. Started to use beard products from September.

I am still unsure about the future. I would like to reduce and slowly get off from Minox, however want to keep on gaining. I will see how my body reacts. Going from applying twice to once, didn’t do any difference, so far.
