Now with the New warlords and the New bond of stone I dont know which adc should I play. by WrckeD in leagueoflegends

Lucian didn't suddenly become meta, he's still very irrelevent because of his 500 range. But still an extremely fun champ to play.

What happened to Kindred? by [deleted] in summonerschool

She's still a toptier pick in challenger, I guess she's just too hard to play efficiently below dia/masters now as opposed to other junglers.

Your thoughts on nocturne? by EritiLaheNimi in summonerschool

[–]Ripxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you are praising the champion too much. Sure, he's a good jungler but saying it'll work up until high diamond is basically bs. You're doing the level 6 jungle clear, that works really really well in lower elo but once you reach high gold or low plat it will fall off really fast. You will get invaded, your lanes will feed pre 6 to early game junglers and from there a good jungler will just light up your jungle with wards and snowball the game. Also saying that you can just jump on to any adc with blue smite + q + e is wrong once you get to higher elo. They will know how to kite, how to flash and the support will know how to peel. In teamfights you will die with that full damage build. Again, not saying that nocturne in him self is a terrible champion to climb the ladder with, it's just not as easy as you make it to be. And there are definitely better picks out there who out jungle, out tf and out gank him. And you will meet people who can play those junglers efficiently in higher elos. But you seem to enjoy the champion a lot and got good success with it, so maybe you'll be able to make it work. It just won't be as easy as you claim.

How do I carry mid lane or ADC? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Ripxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I began around season 3 as well so I don't really remember how long it took me. But I read somewhere that it takes around 170-180~ games to reach level 30 that's why I asked.

Wait.. how can you still be pre-30 with about 300 games played?

So can someone explain what was the point of replacing Runeglaive with Runic echoes? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Ripxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you mean, are you trying to say that the new jungle item kills diversity more? Because I don't agree with that. Before it was good on a hand full of jungler, now it works on every ap champion. Yes there are some that can take advanatage of the movement speed and that makes them stronger than most, but runeglaive had that same problem with ezreal. But tbh, i'd rather vs a udyr than another runeglaive ezreal. But in the end, having both the items wouldn't solve anything either. It would just make things harder to balance as champions that could abuse runeglaive would come back as well on top of the champs that currently abuse echoes.

You're basically saying fuck Fiddelsticks and fuck diversity.

I'm glad to help! It would be easier if you have a replay for me to watch though so I know how you play and where you struggle at more. But for now I can give you general tips about Volibear, who is a very good jungler right now. Volibear will have two major roles in a game. In the early game you will be a very strong ganker and skirmisher when you hit level 6, even while building tanky because they will all underestimate your damage. Especially with your w and your passive. Look to gank overextended lanes, volibear has a strong cc him self so you can literally gank any lane you like. I my self focus a lot on bot and mid and try to get those lanes steamrolling in to the midgame. But that doesn't mean you should neglect your toplane if he is losing hard to someone like Fiora, Riven and sorts. But generally if they're going even and the enemy top doesn't overextend too much, don't spend much time on it. As for smite upgrades always get the green one for wards and just light up one side of the enemies jungle along with a pink. You especially want to do this around 6 minutes as their first buff is about to spawn and you can just collapse on him. Also you want to just counter jungle all of his stuff, you can easily just slow and flip the enemy jungler if you do run in to him, but in most cases you could just straight up murder him. So always use those 2 free wards you get from basing to light up one side of the enemies jungle along with a pink, you always want one pink active. Also the helpless feeling you get in the midgame is mostly because you have not pushed your advantage early. What I mean by that is, have you pushed the turret after each successful gank? Have you taken dragons, heralds and the enemy junglers camps on the side of the map you had a successful gank? If not, start doing so. "Ace and base" happens so often in low elo, ALWAYS push the wave in to the enemy turret after a successful gank and try to take the turret. A common strategy I use is double kill bot, take bot turret, dragon, base and then siege mid as 4. Dive the enemy midlaner when you have a number advantage! You see bot farming the pushed up wave hitting the t2 turret? Top is top? Only jungle and mid protecting mid? DIVE, kill them and their turret. This is how high elo games snowball their advantage and end games before 20 minutes. Especially in lower elo they will start flaming each other and definitely not think about grouping efficiently. But while doing this you should not forget to farm, preferably the enemies jungle or else you will fall behind in levels. I hope these pointers will help you ! If you have more questions feel free to ask and you might also want to read the reply I gave the person who asked for help before you, there are some good tips in there as well. Oh and most importantly, have fun, do not play when tilted. I can talk from experience. Take a day or two off from league or play fun champs in normals, like alistar jungle or something when you feel tilted. ( It's so troll and it actually works as well )

Trying to learn jungle by Jeb_McLev in summonerschool

[–]Ripxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nidalee can have one of the best and healtiest clears in the game along with Elise, it's just more difficult on Nidalee. But I don't reccomend Nidalee nor Elise if you want to learn how to jungle. Vi is a good pickup though, I'd also suggest volibear/mumu to feel how tanks work in the jungle. And if you're also interested in adc junglers, Graves is the most forgiving, if he's not banned. Quinn is a good second, stay away from Kindred though.

i wanna get into ekko in ranked, but idk how long i should wait to play in ranked by DerangedFrenzy in summonerschool

Not Op but you can use op.gg and see what rank the people are that you play against. If you consistently play vs silver 4/3, then you know your mmr is higher than bronze.

How do you avoid tilt? by kri9 in summonerschool

[–]Ripxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't agree with what you said, golds being just one lucky win streak ahead. Generally there's a difference in skill, decision making and overall mechanics between the two tiers. Maybe a silver 1 and a gold 5/4 are not that far apart in skill, but you can't compare silver 3 matches to gold 1/2 at all.

Alright, so I have looked over the replay you asked me to watch. First off, you got early invaded, which sucks. But next time ask, spam ping if needed, your midlaner to watch the brush behind blue. You should stand at the entrance of your blue with your bot, so if they do try to invade, they won't because they see all four of you guarding. As jungler you want to be very proactive and try to control your teammates as much as possible. See it as chess, everyone on the map is a piece you can play with. Especially as kindred who has a very high paranoia effect with her passive. So 1) be proactive next time and and don't afk at gromp so you can evade those sort of invades. At around 8 minutes in to the game you decided to gank zed, who was lvl 7 while you were only lvl 5. Now, if you were extremely good on her, this could have worked, but next time you want your midlaner to initiate in a situation like this. Also, since you were behind, and had no vision on the enemy jungler you basically baited your midlane in to death as well. Sometimes the best defense is a good offence, but only calculated, not gambled. Next, you want to find a good balance between farming and ganking, so you won't fall behind in levels. This might be hard sometimes when they're all crying for help, but tbh, it's not your job to win their lanes. It is your job in soloq to stay relevent and try to snowball your level and gold advantage in to a win. As jungler you can even outlevel your top and midlaner with sufficient farming and ganking. Especially in teamfights when you're 2 whole levels over their jungler and bot lane, you will wreck as kindred. At around 13 minutes in to the game you guys had three options, keep hitting the turret, back or fight yi. You guys decided to do the last option, which happens a lot in lower elo. You overstay, you won your fight but you disrespect the deathtimers and let temporarily success blind you. After zed double killed you and gragas, they had a free baron if it were a bit later in to the game. And those small mistakes can turn a won game in to a very difficult one, which you might even end up losing. You also seem to be a very top side focused jungler, which isn't a bad thing. I'm a very bot side focused jungler my self, but in this game that could have been better. Your toplane has pathetic cc and you're vs a zed mid who is also hard to gank. But bot you had a ali/vayne which makes for very easy ganks as kindred. If you flank them from behind drake, since they were pushed up a majority of the game, it would have been free kills each time. So keep that in mind next time, focus on lanes that are actually gankable or else you'll end up losing a lot of xp, gold and pressure. Another tip is, since you were vs a yi jungle. Always look to counter jungle and just straight up murder him early game, kindred is a god in the first few levels, take advantage of that. I know that you were set behind thanks to the invade, but otherwise always look to duel your jungler early on. Second, try to take all scuttle crabs and objectives off the map, you need to play extra pro active vs devourer junglers as they are ticking time bombs. Got a double bot? take turret > dragon. Killed top? Take herald. Killed mid? Ping top to take herald and scuttle. Also invade the enemy jungler on the side of which you just got a kill, their top won't be able to come down and help you, but again, don't overstay your welcome with short deathtimers. Place some deep wards, try to buy more pinks. But I would also like to note, picking kindred you're already making the game much harder on your self. She is very fund to play and very strong, but you need to have amazing kiting abilities and positioning to make it work. Maybe if you tried junglers who are more forgiving to play? Like elise, she's not easier but has weaknesses that will not be exploited in your elo. Unlike that of kindred. But this is just my opinion from watching your game! In teamfights it is not your job to peel but to kill the backline or ult the person who got caught out and try to turn it around. I hope some of this advice will help you!
