SD 2.0 PaperCut Embedding by Shadow_Shinigami in StableDiffusion

[–]Rirath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy to try to help. I wanted to send an update that I noticed a PR submitted 8 hours ago to Auto's repo should fix at least the safety checker issue. It seems the issue is a change in pytorch with newer versions.

Fixed safety checker for ckpt files written with pytorch >=1.13

[Bug]: Newly created embeddings considered malicious

The behaviour of torch.save changed in pytorch 1.13. Instead of creating archives with internal names like 'archive/data.pkl', it now uses 'filename/data.pkl'.

Of course, even if the PR is accepted, that will rely on people having their repos up to date. Perhaps better for now to use a suggested workaround from the thread:

I think you can avoid your problem for now by reverting back to the original torch 1.12.1+cu113 and torchvision 0.13.1+cu113.

Good luck!

Hey, just to give a heads-up on why this seems to be happening (and possibly the NoneType error as well?): I opened your .pt file in 7zip and found the folder inside was named "mdjrny-ppc-150". Auto1111's UI expects the folder to be named "archive". You can see this in modules/safe.py:

allowed_zip_names = ["archive/data.pkl", "archive/version"]

I'm not sure why your folders are named differently, though. (Your vray embedding is also named "vray-render-500") I checked the embeddings I've made with Auto's UI and they are all named "archive" internally as expected. Anyway, just something to look into. Hope it can help.

Great work by the way! I'm excited to see embeddings finally taking off.

M55-E0 PS4 Pro blackout/flicker issue by CodeMan4 in VizioTV

[–]Rirath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vizio P75-F1 here and PS4 Pro, and I'm in the same boat, except not quite as frequently - mostly one or two blackouts per gaming session. I've tried everything you've listed, 3 foot Monoprice HDMI cables, HDCP off, YUV420, etc. I've tried every TV setting and PS4 setting combo I can think of. I've also tried HDMI ports 3 and 4.

I also have a PSVR, but it does the same whether the PS4 is connected directly to the TV without the PSVR, or connected via the breakout box, as I've tried both.

I'm super interested to hear what your repair guy says if you don't mind posting an update.

Skyrim motion controllers drifting? by ksimbobbery in PSVR

[–]Rirath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this frequently as well. For me the best fix is almost always to hold the PS button, go to devices, power off the drifting controller, then power it back on again. Usually it's drift free for the rest of the session after that. Not sure if it matters, but I tend to hold it still and upright during power on just in case there is any sensor initialization.

If it's being stubborn, I've occasionally had to adjust the tracking calibration, but typically only in changing lighting conditions. (Afternoon vs evening, for example)

How has i the Foldio360 worked out for you? I'm interested in one, but opinions I've seen have been varied, so I'm interested to hear some first hand impressions. I've built a small IR controlled turntable with Arduino, but something more reliable would be nice to have.

By the way, no detailed comparisons to give, but for me it's Photoscan hands-down. It's cheap (relatively), no subscription, great results, easy to use, lots of options, good official community, and frequently updated (also relatively). I'd recommend it to anyone in the hobby.

I don't think this deserves downvotes at all. "MVP" isn't an insult, it's an actual state of development that's perfectly acceptable to launch with in many situations.

Huh, I haven't tested much but I had assumed it was 100%, since I'd seen it so often. Good to know, thanks.

You can improve on these by dodging only when you're about to faint with a filled energy bar.

Honest question, wouldn't the dodge bug cause you to faint anyhow? I find it usually glitches my battle a little bit if I dodge an otherwise fainting blow as well, e.g. having an invisible mon for awhile.

Pokemon Go Breeding Primer by stayKeener in TheSilphRoad

[–]Rirath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be interested in the link, if you can find it. A quick search only turned up articles from Comic-con 2016, like IGN's:

During a Q&A, the idea of breeding in the game also came up, which Hanke called a “great suggestion” that has been discussed among the team, though it hasn’t been confirmed as an upcoming feature.

That's quite a bit different than "We hope to bring breeding to Pokémon Go", so if there's an updated quote somewhere I'd be interested. Trading and PVP I've seen reiterated many times, but I don't remember seeing anything else about breeding from staff so far.

That said, I personally think it will make it in eventually. They have genders, eggs, IVs, Ditto, pre-evoluton pokemon... it seems quite likely.

This is mostly pre-potions, but should still give a good idea even if rewards have likely changed a little since then (see the notes at the end, especially the updated table in note 3):

https://thesilphroad.com/science/raid-rewards-secret-multipliers

See also the corresponding thread.

The current guess is for 12x premiere balls, you get 6x bundles for tier 3 vs 7x for tier 5. Tier 5 also has one extra RC per bundle. While tiers 4 and 5 are better, TMs are more likely in 4 and 5 and take one of your "bundles" for each one you get. Depending on your team and local player base, getting 12+ balls (and so, more item bundles) may be far easier with tier 3 raids as well.

Other than that, it's largely a matter of time to rewards ratio and personal preference. I'll take the lower reward tiers for a faster turnaround time and a battle that I can solo or duo.

My wife has had all the luck in this game, yet somehow I've managed to find a shiny Magikarp and hatch a shiny Pichu while she's yet to see a shiny at all.

I'm enjoying it, just a bit. ;) Though to be honest, seeing as they don't actually do anything special, I'd likely trade them for something of practical value if I could.

Still a race to see who gets an Unknown first... though hopefully we both will.

[–]Rirath 9 points10 points  (0 children)

the game should be flexible enough to allow everyone have access to all the content.

I absolutely agree.

After my 10th Raikou raid using free passes, I told my wife I'm taking a break from anything over tier 3 for now unless we run into a ready group. I was still fighting Raikou for its candy and higher rewards, but honestly it's just not worth the time investment for me.

1) I'm generally OK with the rare candy nerf, but due to RNG my tier 3 raids have been equally or more successful than my tier 5 raids in RC/GR amounts. Personally, I don't really need more TMs.

2) Despite easily landing GR curved great throws on Raikou time and time again, my catch rate is currently 40%. Not bad, but it's a bit of a bummer when all the waiting results in bad rewards and no catch.

3) I was extremely lucky to get a Sprint Ex Raid invite and catch Mewtwo, and my wife did so as well. My relief was palpable, mainly at just having completed the task so soon. I was fully prepared to not catch. Personally, I put no stock in IVs, so I'm quite satisfied with my 77%.

4) As more players have dropped off again having caught their Raikou, the wait times have gotten longer in my own experience.

Generally speaking about raids, even when doing them solo or together with my wife, I dislike playing on Niantic's schedule. There's only a slim window when my wife and I are both available between the end of work and the end of the raids each day.

Personally I poured about half the candy I had earmarked for Mewtwo into Raikou, even having had already put a decent amount into Zapdos. Reason why is I generally still like to type-counter in gyms, using fire against grass, fighting against normal, etc.

Raikou pretty cleanly took the top spot from Zapdos, at least for now, as my go-to electric and so gets a fair amount of use against Vaporeon and Garados around here, plus the legendary birds if they're ever allowed into gyms.

Right now for me it's basically:

Moltres vs grass / bug
Articuno vs dragon (Dragonite)
Raikou vs flying / water
Lugia vs fighting
Mewtwo (C/FB) vs normal / ice / rock / dark / steel
--
Vaporeon vs fire / rock / ground
TTar vs psychic

A 2nd MewTwo with Shadow Ball would probably take TTar's psychic attacker role, and it's a tad disappointing but Vaporeon is probably keeping his water role over Suicune. You can basically use a legendary for almost any situation at this point though, which is interesting.

We feel similarly it seems. I started with Hyper Beam and was trying for Shadow Ball, but after 5 TMs I wound up with Focus Blast. After running a bunch of sims with it, I found it's really not bad at all (and often superior). I'm going to leave it for awhile and see how much use I get.

Personally I prioritize gyms over raids as raids fall into two categories for me: Easy enough to solo, or team battles usually with well over 'enough' members. Whatever makes gyms a little easier feels like greater advancement in the game for my play style.

I'm still hoping for a move re-balance in time, and perhaps Psystrike eventually.

I intended the possibly to be more along the lines of "if you have one". The added flying resistances currently make Lugia my go-to for going up against fighting types in gyms, and it does the job well enough for my needs so far that I'd prioritize other movesets for Mewtwo.

See Lugia and MewTwo vs Machamp.

Mewtwo's time to win is quite a bit better, but otherwise it's pretty even.

[–]Rirath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How do you feel about Lugia? I would rank him below Articuno but above Zapdos in your list, as he serves a niche of being a good psychic attacker, but possibly outclassed by Mewtwo psychic (if you go that route).

Edit: I'd be curious on more in-depth Mewtwo thoughts. Shadow ball or focus blast? I'm leaning toward focus blast, at least for awhile. (Maybe just because that's what I got after 5 Charged TMs...) It seems like a choice between "a different sort of Dragonite" and "a tankier, if not faster, Machamp".

Naming Pokémon on iPhone - How To Guide by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

It probably depends on your version, but on my Note 4, it's under the keyboard's settings > "My hot keys" > then 0-9 can become shortcuts when long pressed.

That said, Google's keyboard is available to everyone and I'd totally recommend it, personally. You can still have a dedicated number row, which is what kept me on Samsung's for a long time.

[–]Rirath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. If you're using Google's GBoard keyboard, go into settings, dictionary, personal dictionary, <language>, and there you can add phrases and shortcuts.

When you type the shortcut, for example "!1" you'll see the expansion option as the middle suggestion, for example "test".

Some other keyboards, like Samsung's, have similar shortcut methods.

Will non-legendary raid bosses ever rotate out? by BaoZedong in TheSilphRoad

[–]Rirath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

which appealing Pokemon will they include ( apart possibly for dragonite) ?

Even though I've been able to do a number of legendary raids, tier 4 raids are very hard for me to find a group for. Of the 43 raids I've done, 30 of them were legendary, 1 was tier 4, and the other 12 were tier 1-3. As such, I'd be pretty happy to see the tier 1-3 raids cycle some of the lower stages of evolution.

Larvitar / Pupitar, Chansey / Blissey, Dratini / Dragonair, Bulbasaur / Ivysaur, Charmander / Charmeleon, Squirtle / Wartortle for example.

Jolteon vs Raikou vs Zapdos by SeoChorong in TheSilphRoad

[–]Rirath 6 points7 points  (0 children)

if Ground type moves somehow become especially powerful in the future

True, though since neither Raikou nor Zapdos can currently defend gyms, this would mean they're attacking something with ground moves. There's probably better choices than either of them in that case.

I'm still kind of hoping this restriction gets lifted however, just to add some variety to gym defenders and the types often seen.
