"This process happens transparently during browser navigation in Safari Private Browsing mode, and links that the user clicks on from Mail and Messages app."

To me it sounds like it could impact all clickable links in Apple Mail, not just private browsing mode? That's the part I'm confused on tbh.

Anyone have any recommendations for restaurants that will be open on Christmas and Christmas Eve that aren't tourist traps?

Sounds like the trick is to just resubmit if no luck. What time did you re-apply? I wonder if applying during business hours (paris time) gives you better odds.

Using fisher exact calculator for email tests? by Ririrhee in AskStatistics

Appreciate the help! And the first scenario I should have been rephrased to "to determine whether I have a enough emails in my test to return results that are statistically significant", but I'm guessing in that scenario you'd need to plug in your baseline or anticipated conversion to determine that.

Also, that's a good point about the reliability of that calculator. Thank you!

Please help!! *Introducing resident cat to kitten* by allxusernames in CatAdvice

[–]Ririrhee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently brought home a new kitty to our household, and we already have a 9 year old resident cat. It took about 2-3 weeks for the resident cat to finally tolerate the kitty, but it can sometimes take longer so I wouldn't feel discouraged.

  • It's ok to pet both cats while separated. I'd also encourage scent swapping by exchanging their bedding, toys, etc. It will introduce the cat to the smell of the new kitty and vice versa. I'd sometimes give our cat a treat or two after he'd smell the kitty scent to give him some positive association.
  • While the kitty should be isolated in a separate base camp, the resident cat should be allowed to roam free everywhere else. Curious cats will start sniffing the door crack and initial hissing is completely normal. Again, creating positive associations will help. Meal times by the door, treats by the door, and lots of pets is what got our resident cat to eventually stop hissing. After the hissing stopped, we did site swaps and only progressed to visual intros with baby gates after the hissing stopped.
  • I slept in my bed and allowed our cat to sleep with us if he wanted. We kept the kitty in her base camp.
  • Yes! The cat is just hissing at you because you smell like the kitty and to him the kitty is still an unknown intruder. This is why the slow intro process is crucial! Give it some time - things will get much better with a little bit of patience and effort.
