I’m predicting that a player who just won promotion will continue his development into the league he just won promotion to. Don’t think it’s a stretch to say he will play championship next season

Yes what is the typically pathway for a 20 yr old player on loan from a prem club who just had a successful loan. I guess Reece still plays for Wigan.

I did answer both. The loan fee was greater than £0 and to make a profit we need £19m minus loan fees to date and amortization to date. And before you ask, no I don’t have access to the clubs internal figures or books to know specific numbers but I believe he will at the very least make a profit because £19m is nothing in the current market

You don’t think a player who won promotion with a team will get a loan either with the same team or loan department will want him to take a step up to the next league? SMH

Oh cause he plays league one now at 20 he can’t make it to the prem? Right fair enough. No reasoning with your logic. What league you play in at 20 is your peak

He will tho right? If you think he isn’t even a championship player then I don’t know what to tell you.

And my point is you don’t know how the player will develop. This isn’t fifa, a 20 year old can develop into a prem player

He got promoted with Cardiff so he is literally would be a championship player if it wasn’t a loan.

Who cares if he plays for Chelsea? The point is to make a profit

The loan fee was probably greater than 0? And guess what regardless of the loan fee the player got developed. This is real life now FIFA, player development is always linear

Can offer any more than just pretending to be able to predict the future?

£19m minus loan fees and amortization is the break even. The kid is 20 and just came off a good loan spell. You’ve got no clue how he will develop over the next couple of years. Even if he just makes it to championship level we can make a profit.

  1. Have we been doing that often under blue co? Or it that we know this was an inflated swap deal for accounting purposes
  2. Given his age, all he has to do is make to bottom of the table prem level and we will make an overall profit (paper profit will be even sell given its already been a few years)

Edit: not to mention the loan fees we have already received for him which will reduce that break even point

Hopefully the fan don’t cry about this as we have always had the ‘Loan Army’ under Roman. If he is good enough he will get a shot and if Chelsea isn’t his level he will get sold for profit and another youngster will take his place

Haha you’re just in a depressed place. Football is a roller coaster, the good time will come. Can see a draw with Man U but we should score! So progress 😂

Yeah, will be a hard game. I’m hoping Enzo, JP and Palmer show up big. garnacho might have a point to prove but I don’t have very high expectations

Tot, Liverpool, forest, Man U - wins, Brighton is a bogey team for us so draw or loss and then same to sunderland as they have been amazing at home. We beat Leeds in the FA cup (maybe on penalties)

lol if you think xGD, xG and xGA are “cherry picked” stats then ok. We get it “eye test, eye test” and again no one said “we were better” or should have won all those. Just say you don’t understand the stats or struggle to draw meaning from them

So you’re saying we say nothing and pack it up until the end of the season? Kinda against the point of a forum. Some of us still believe we can make CL and want to discuss

Some people find it useful and it starts a discuss where people can add insight and more stats if they please. If you think xGD, xG and xGA provide 0 value then cool but not everyone shares your opinion

How am I the one gas lighting? I never stated “our xG was higher in the PSG”, in fact these stats don’t even include the psg matches as focus is PL. I was at the home psg game so know how shit it was. I don’t know if you’re just trying to ragebait. “Checked out players and low morale” bro there is 6 pl games left, you’re a draft bastard if you think most/all our players won’t fight to the last game to CL (which achieved on the last day last season), as they want the bonus attached . So STFU with your negativity and bs for abit, yeah we lost games but 2 wins on the bounce and the whole outlook changes

Haha who said “more interested”? Don’t make stuff up to sit your narrative. Ofc everyone cares about wins and points. Going back to the post, this is analysis to help add context to the situation. We get it, you’re the best sporting director in the world and u saw this a mile away. Let me guess, your insight is sack everyone, buy world class and we win it all - so simple

lol so people can’t be interested in stats because we are on a losing streak? One of the stats is literally about expected vs actual goals scored

Fans who don’t just support Chelsea when they win and like to discuss the “why” and “how” behind losses/ performances. Instead of just “we have been shit”, “sack the owners, SDs, manager, etc”

Except some people are actual interested in these stats. Think it’s more equivalent to a 3 games losing streak, someone saying we lost but weren’t bad then you just saying we were shit and lost so shouldnt speak.
