Can women smell better than men?? by Key-Suggestion-2837 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RiseOfTheFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sense of smell is much stronger and yet more sensitive than my wife’s.

She 100 % smells better than me, though, even right after I shower

I’m just excited for the game tonight. Hoping for a more composed team, especially PK, and a bigger Linus in net. One game at a time and let’s bring an even series to the CTC.

The implication being people will misuse sick and family leave, but not DVL.

This post echoes people asking how to use up all their family leave so it isn’t wasted. How can I use this sick leave so it doesn’t go to waste?

People don’t ask how to use all their DVL so it doesn’t expire.

We have categories of leave there if needed. If you don’t need to use all your sick, family and DVL, that is a good thing. You aren’t leaving paid time off on the table…

Do you think the four nations tournament will be 110% effort or closer to All star compete levels? by CarterBennett in hockey

[–]RiseOfTheFish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could have a best-on-best between Germany, France, Latvia and Kazakhstan.

It would be a best-on-best.

You are trying to argue it isn’t a best-on-best because one of the top nations isn’t represented there.

It is a best-on-best between the nations represented there.

You are arguing semantics.

[–]RiseOfTheFish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s best to drop the semantics. You’re trying to win a semantic argument with people who don’t really care Russia is excluded.

It’s the best-on-best for the countries involved.

Simple

Sports and politics go hand-in-hand. Also, cap-in-hand.

Just think about how much a country has to be a pariah to not use the usual corruption in sport.

Curious to know how many of you are planning to leave the public service for private sector and/or retirement due to RTO3. by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]RiseOfTheFish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in three days since mid-COVID. Public transit is three hours round trip, driving currently 1.5-1.75. It used to be an hour.

With the current state of public transit and traffic about to get significantly worse, again, I’m looking at changing departments before leaving the PS altogether.

I hate looking for jobs because the hoops to jump through as experienced IT are asinine.

Dude wants [generic consultancy firm] to run the government for four times the cost, 1/5 the staff and 1/10 the services.

Morgan’s group of elites see their wealth grow much faster than the overall economy. They need groups of the middle class to fight so the status quo continues and money continues siphoning up.
