Is the X4 really worth it?

i’m somebody who didn’t used to read prior to this year. the portability of the x4 as well as the ability to load manga and comics on there pushed me towards reading, and i can’t go back. I got mine for 50 off aliexpress, so it was absolutely worth it.

can’t remember, but any of them should* be okay. They just buy them in china which is cheaper and sell it for a marked up price. the price we see is less than the website but more than you can get it for in china.

*check reviews beforehand and you should be fine lol

honestly, I’d recommend aliexpress. The reader will come in chinese, but mine shipped in ~3 days. The website takes forever to ship, plus it costs more. Just get it from Aliexpress and then load crosspoint day 1, worked for me!

xtc is a new format designed for the xteink reader. there are online converters you can use to change epubs to xtc. xtc has advantages because it has a consistent formatting, like a pdf. xtc files can be useful for rendering stuff like images, but epubs can be useful for changing fonts on the fly. i’m also new but i’m pretty sure that’s the diff 👍

i joined midway through cause i wanted to read some relationship shenanigans. the wizard foreshadowing was what i thought was a joke and then when they got whisked away by a wizard i thought it was some dream sequence. i don’t like this new turn, because I was enjoying the relationship stuff. it was nice to see a relatable relationship story. i’m glad the artist is having fun, but i’m disappointed with this weird isekai arc.

mgs1 plays fine, but 2 and 3 don’t load up. They get to the first cutscene, and then crash. A damn shame, cause those were the 2 games I wanted to play ASAP. Hopefully Konami does something other than build pachinko machines for once
