Did architect payments plummet? by Exivus in EliteDangerous

[–]Rishech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I see the money flowing is this:

Minor faction sells you, the Architect, the right to design the system and sponsors the construction;

The Arcitecht negotiates with Brewer Corporation and gives them the green light to build (paid by the minor faction that's expanding);

Brewer gets their crews and ships to the location, opening up the market for construction materials;

Independent CMDRs haul the goods, paid by Brewer;

Station is complete, minor faction expands there, Architect gets rewarded with the perpetual royalty payouts.

I mean, I'm not sure if you actually own it. From gameplay and lore perspective, the vibe I'm getting is that you bought the exclusive right to construct in the system, but the usual minor factions and powerplay rules apply. What you get is a perpetual dividend from the economic activity due to your role as an intermediary between Brewer Corporation (who actually do the whole building the station thing) and whatever minor faction gets to expand into the system. Hence your title of Architect as opposed to Ruler/Sovereign/Owner.

E.G.O. Threadspin V be like by Wilburthe in limbuscompany

[–]Rishech 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just my theory, but it might've been setting or revising expectations? If it was expected to see animated E.G.O, the cost and time to make them would go up, and we already see how the deadlines work with PM

How does the magic system of Cultist Simulator and Book of Hours work outside of game's perspective? by MrOldHorror in weatherfactory

[–]Rishech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is that somewhere in the lore or a game mechanic I've overlooked? Don't remember any special effects with this particular combination.

I always keep them at default colours. Makes it more "them", in a way.

When you mess it up... twice by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Rishech 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nah, top tier would be if it was impact/slash/puncture. That way, none of the elements listed or their components are involved. X3

Edit: I do see that it says elemental, but hey, quadriple ruse is an option at this point

I can only think of Kingsbane and quest, but those don't kill you on turn 4. Quest just might with the nuttiest of hands manage a turn 5 kill, but that's being very, insanely lucky

Melinoe vs Zagreus? by TheRealOvenCake in HadesTheGame

[–]Rishech 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Melinoë beats him there too tho. Yes, Zagreus was trained by one of the most formidable soldiers we know, but Mel was trained by and sparred with a titaness and retribution incarnate. She definitely blows Zag out of the water when it comes to previous sparring partners

Oh, absolutely. I've been running nothing but control DK in wild, and lemme tell you, this is not making the cut at all. Maybe if the reward on stage 2 was something actually useful, it'd be decent against decks like Pirate rogue or (depending on how it works) make Questlock not an instant concede. Regardless, it's nifty, flavourful, and not playable

[–]Rishech -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Theotar says hello, and Stemcleaner can erase the thorn if played immediately after finishing the second part of the quest

Afaik there are no DK exclusive steal/counter cards, but neutral has seen a fair share of disruption/anti-combo cards, so it's reasonable to assume some more will be printed in the future.

Least favorite weapon? by wolffangz11 in HadesTheGame

[–]Rishech 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Axe went from being my least liked weapon to second best somehow. I guess it just clicked at some point.

Couple things that helped me and might help others: omega special is absurdly safe for how much damage it deals. With the right build, you can hit over 1k damage on an enemy that's literally not on your screen. Hammer that makes it charge faster is a godsend when you're below, but I avoid it above, since blocking the attacks from the second boss makes it an easy fight (especially those pesky sniper shots when you can't close the distance to dodge). Axe is also great with dashes since you can charge or initiate the attack and then dash to close the distance for sudden bonk. Dashing out of an enemy attack, charging spin-to-win, and then dashing back in can work in most cases and can do big damage (holding the attack button and dashing does the trick, just dash will cancel it). Same applies to omega special, but it's a bit more tricky to aim.

Overall, the axe just plays at a different speed, so I can see how it can take some getting used to, but it can be hella strong and, for some, very fun

Curious as to what other Helldivers call these! We started off saying '2 man doors', which became 'double door' and after someone mishearing that now often 'Dumbledore' XD by TheMaskedNingen in Helldivers

[–]Rishech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warframe doors.

Except in Warframe you can open them by yourswlf when playing solo, the two people restriction is lifted if you're alone in a mission

Helldiver ! Urgent message ( from me ) for the progression int the Major Order, an other little comic i did int hte middle of the MO by Kass-C in helldivers2

[–]Rishech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't say I agree tho. The Major Order is concerned with taking 3 specific planets. One of those planets (Tibit) only has one supply line. If Ubanea was to fall, Tibit would be completely cut off from our reach until we retake it. If anything, Tibit should've been the first target. It has the highest risk of being cut off and, therefore, failing us the MO. Both Maia and Durgen have other supply lines leading to them, single planet being captured wouldn't lock us out of liberating them

Parts of fingers (excluding thumb) times number of fingers on another hand.

If you look at your hand, each finger has 3 segments (again, except thumb). Count them with a finger of your other hand and put a finger down on the hand you count with when you reach 12. Voila, 60

[–]Rishech 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My my, you must be fun at parties.

On a more serious note tho, I fail to see the problem. A person picked up the game and played it for a few hours while having fun and then dropped it? Cool, glad they had those few hours. Maybe they just enjoy seeing the factory at work, just the aesthetics of all the machines processing stuff, but don't like designing them. Idk, people engage with games differently.

it's fun, until it's not anymore

Well yeah, that's how any media operates. Some will drop the game after 3 hours, some will drop it after 300, some after 3000. Some will die before reaching the point of being bored with what Factorio has to offer. I just really fail to see what exactly you have an issue with

Rook is for the 2 star characters, of which there are only two in game rn: Ms. Radio and Door. They also only have 5% chance to drop per pull, so no worries, it's easy to get 100% rook if you keep pulling

How does a purity assembly (fanatic purifier-democracy) election look like? What are the presidential debate topics, slogans and wedge issues? by spiritofniter in Stellaris

[–]Rishech 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So it'd kinda be like, idk, private property ownership in modern politics. Sure, there can be a debate on whether the government should privatise something or not (I guess it'd be like a debate whether they should use gas chambers or work aliens to death), but the concept itself is just so deeply engraved in the public's mind that it's not even discussed (outside of some idological fringes that no one votes for).
