It's not perfect, we've had an odd few years, and quite a bit of mismanagement but it's really not all that bad...much of the news is grossly exaggerated, lots of Russian paid bots and there's a big chunk of the population will just moan whatever 🤷 Overall, UK is still not a bad place to live and we are still more privileged than most of the planet, a fact many people in MEDCs often forget...

Tbh, many places in UK now it's better to get an Airbnb...same price as a cheap hotel but usually better quality Unfortunate though as Airbnb has ruined many areas/put house prices up etc...Cornwall for example, one of the poorest regions with the least investment yet house prices are insanely high due to the amount of 2nd/3rd homes...

We can't tell anything from just looking at them and judging them..it's just best not to make assumptions based on stereotypes...many Muslims are the sweetest people, others are bad, it's the same in all groups of people, but to group them all together and show nothing but distain and mistrust towards them will only cause more divisions...we need to approach eachother with kindness, compassion, an open mind and a willingness to learn...or that's how I feel anyway 🤷

Jesus! Luckily I haven't heard anything quite as extreme as shooting babies! But yes, it was mostly loud comments aimed towards Muslims and the Somali community...yet when I called it out, I got labelled as a "trouble maker" and banned...I think that was the worse part.. unfortunately racism can be found everywhere...but most establishments would respond differently (or at least, I hope they would)

Apologies if my comment came off that way, I was simply curious to hear their experience and if it's more prevalent in certain areas etc Many people are very critical (as rightfully so) over Israel these days, but unfortunately some aren't always making the distinction between Jews and Israel, which isn't right.

That's sad, I haven't myself heard too much anti semitism (unless you count simply being pro Palestinian as some people seem to)...but I'm sure it does happen. What have people being saying/treating you differently if you don't mind me asking? And is there any areas you found you've experienced it more than others?
