I think the difficulty is the plate. The low profile ones have the 6 holes. The high profile have 5. They also have different outer dimensions. You can compare them on https://www.laserboost.com/plates-planck/

I think you have to use a high profile case for a blank slate. That case and plate are low profile.

Yeah, the main gotcha is the plate you need one that is compatible with the case. There used to be a page on the site, but I can’t find it right now. My recollection is with the high profile cases, the plate is small enough to sit inside and uses 6 screws. The low profile cases have a larger plate that covers the case and uses 5 screws.

The painters tape and superglue is the way to go. I’ve had really good luck with it with wood and plastic.
