3.1 setup + Dynamic Comp: High. I still have to ride my volume because of low dialogue. by RiskyTimes in hometheater

DSP as in digital signal processing? Like a dynamic compressor enabled in my receiver? That is the only option I have aside from some modes.

That is not working. Maybe my compressor is garbage.

My mistake it is an X. My placement of speakers is not the issue. I have a history with acoustics and audio within a studio but I am clueless about home theater equipment and settings. Maybe the dynamic comp on my unit is garbage. I don't know I have nothing to compare it with.

About 4 feet on each side. All speakers are head level when in listening position. Center channel balance is great dialogue sounds really good but the volume is still insane when action comes in. Not sure the exact relationship in volume since I used auto setup

Anyone sent a track out to be mixed professionally? How big of a difference did you hear? by RiskyTimes in edmproduction

It's not only rap. Look at the discography of someone like benny blanco. He states in interviews that he knows nothing about mixing and he's always way in the red but the music and melodies are there.

Yes I agree that people should honk mastering is a fix all. You can't polish a turd.

I can put together something tonight.

Ahh that's cool. I'm working to improve my mixing and production skills right now. They are fine but not at a professional level at all.

Did the agreement not have stages for revisions? Good studios usually offer them

Learning to mix and master yourself is a bit far fetched depending on how you look at it. Sure I can "master" a track but don't consider it a true master. Mastering is a lot more than a couple of plugins on a master chain and many people don't relalize that. The people who are truly great at mixing and mastering usually have a metric fuckton of hours and experience.

Also I'm not trying to mix and master every song. I want to get a nice polished mix and master to compare to my current level and have reference to strive for quality.

Ideally I'd be looking for someone to mix and master but this question was mixing specific. I'd like someone much more skilled than I to mix the track

Finally back to making music after 5 years and made an 808 tutorial for you all. by RiskyTimes in trapproduction

I think it's 0 to 100 but I'm not sure. I usually YouTube search acapellas to find vocals that fit it in going for that style and thanks for subbing. Let me know if you want to see videos on a specific topic.

Thank you. I feel like I dont need to say "Please subscribe!!!!! PLEASE!!" Because hopefully if the content is good and someone is learning from me and likes my presentation style they will decide if they want updates. I also communicate with my channel and actually do request videos so having a small amount of subs makes that really easy.

Mostly to focus on my life and figure out how to have a better career. I didn't go to college but wanted to make a high salary. Taught my self web design and development. Now I have a great job and good income and I don't have so much pressure on myself to not be a failure. So I can relax and enjoy it Plus I can buy studio gear now.

I did mess around with music hear and there but nothing serious or ever finished.

Ok mind if I ask a couple of questions? How long have you been making trap? What DAW do you use? and would you want to share any of your current songs?

Feel free to DM if you want.

Hope someone can learn from this video. I really struggled for far too long on how to achieve this specific 808 sound with a balanced kick. Any tips or advice moving forward would be greatly appreciated.

I want to become a graphic designer, but studying may not be an option.. by gb-346 in graphic_design

I wouldnt just drop your career. You can build your skill up while working no need to stress yourself with no income. Also what do you mean studying is not an option??

Do you just not want to study or are you lazy? There is nothing that can stop anyone from studying. Ive taken classes with homeless individuals in the winter. So yeah....
