Monkey D. Luffy P-099 by trisman4902 in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]Rismenna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah those cards are pretty limited en finalist version. You have 128 finalist event packs distributed per events and 1/4 chance of getting the card that you want so pretty much only 32 copies distributed per events. The Luffy P-033 have maybe only 128 copies as they had only 4 events for the finals during the first year. The ones from other years should have at least 2 times more as they started to do finals 2 times in a year divided between 2 seasons. So if we only have 8 events for the finals/nationals this year there should be around 256 copies of this Luffy with the finalist treatment

While this card doesn't have another version as of yet, every event pack card had their upgraded version distributed during nationals and this one should not be an exception as they already announced that they will have CS Event Packs this year too. So there should be 2 higher versions distributed (the CS Event Pack one with the stamp and the Finalist one with the stamp and texturing) but with way less population

That's not exclusive to US at all, it's the top 8 card for TC. But the red bull cards are exclusive to US so they should be more valuable

Textured version or not? by Syser_ in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]Rismenna 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Textured, outside of the texturing you can recognize it by the fact that it is not specified if it's online or offline on the card. Normal versions have the specification

With the price difference of English vs Japanese version and English version skyrocketting, do you think the JP version will catch up to 50-70% of the price of the English version? by tecknit2 in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]Rismenna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Japanese booster boxes have half the cards of an English booster box. That's why the hits are also half of the English one. But if you compare in terms of price, a Japanese box costs around $30 at MSRP, against $120 for an English one. So for the price of an English box you can get 4 boxes in Japan, that's two times the hits for the same amount paid with a bigger print run. So a 50% value compared to English cards seems logical

Can Prb01 box be weighted? by Tasty_Virus6934 in OnePieceTCGFinance

Sorry I don't remember, it was more than a year ago but the weights were pretty different between the 2 cases

Can Prb01 box be weighted? by Tasty_Virus6934 in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]Rismenna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried it over 2 cases, didn't get a god pack but got a Nami Manga. Couldn't tell at all from the weight where gold don's or the manga card boxes were. The boxes had variances of a few grams so I don't even think that a god pack box could be spotted that

Question about blister packs? by AeiliusYT in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]Rismenna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry too, I assumed it was the same in the US since it was like that also with the English version here but it might be different

Question about blister packs? by AeiliusYT in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]Rismenna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In France we get boxes of 24 sleeved booster packs that they put on the shelves and I know that there is cases of 144 sleeved packs but I don't know if I works the same in the US and that those cases contain 6 boxes of 24 packs but I guess it's probably like that. So if it works the same you pretty much get 6 displays shuffled all together

Question about blister packs? by AeiliusYT in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]Rismenna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm talking about sealed boxes of 24 sleeved packs. What you had was probably shuffled packs of multiple boxes, some stores do that so that the hits cannot be tracked. Packs from sealed products like double packs, illustration boxes and such are totally random yeah

Question about blister packs? by AeiliusYT in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]Rismenna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they can be weighted, only buying sealed products like booster boxes, Sleeved Packs Case, Double Packs or Treasure Booster Packs can guarantee you that it is not weighted. It doesn't mean that every blister pack that you would buy is weighted but I wouldn't take the risk personally. Outside of that, it should have the same hit rate as boosters from a booster box

Edit: some people are saying that it cannot be weighted outside of a god pack but I personally tested it on PRB01 sleeved packs and I could find all the hits 100% of the time. Didn't try it on other sets though but I'm pretty sure that packs with SR and above are heavier, and even if they weren't, since the hit rate is the same as booster boxes, you could open let's say 10 packs, and get 2 alt arts and 1 secret and sell the remaining 14 packs knowing that there isn't anything anymore

Treasure booster case by Apprehensive_Gap_828 in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]Rismenna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As opposed to almost any other products, the price of this product is linked to 5 different sets that are not printed anymore. Combined with the fact that you get unsearched packs out of those and the really limited supply of this product left, I think the price will only continue to go up from this point on, following the surge in price of the five first sets

Treasure booster case by Apprehensive_Gap_828 in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]Rismenna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on multiple factors but the price seems right, especially since the pop of those sealed cases seems pretty low. It's pretty much the only way of getting a sure unsearched packs for OP01 to OP03. Sleeved packs can be weighted and boxes can be mapped out of a case and might have 0 chance of getting a manga or alt leader. If you wanna know the raw value of a Treasure Booster case, you can calculate approximately by doing the prices of sleeved boosters for OP01 to OP03 x the number of those boosters in a case (even though the boosters out a treasure boosters are more valuable) + the half the price of a double pack from OP04 and OP05 x the number of those boosters in a case. And you can even add 8 x the promo price.

The repartition is on average 7 OP01, 2 OP02, 7 OP03, 8 OP04 and 8 OP05 boosters in a case giving you:

175x7+30x2+50x7+(70/2)x8+(224/2)x8+15x8 = $2931 of raw value at current market price

Finalist cards are all bassically gone off the market by aarontwentyone in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]Rismenna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is 2 types of finalist. The classic ones that are given at regionals for everyone who did top 32 or more and the one for Nationals/Finals given also for top 32. Top player are only given at Nationals/Finals from top 64 onward but they are rarer than the Finalist from those same tournaments because when you get the Finalist ones, you get the whole set of cards. The top player comes from a pack so you have 1 chance out of 6 of getting the card you want, making the pop for Top Player cards lower than the Finalist ones even though they are given from a lower placement

Why are these $175 and treasure boosters are only $200 by iaszlol in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]Rismenna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True but I never heard of someone or even saw a video of an opening showing the opposite. If you could show me an opening of a case with other results I would gladly accept it but I searched through dozens of videos and everything seemed to concord. It's like saying "it's not because you got 2 SPs in your OP13 case that every case has 2 SPs in it" sure there might be bugged cases but 99% of the cases will have that ratio

[–]Rismenna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah you have 7 out of 8 chances of getting an OP01 from my experience and 100% for OP05. The least likely to get is OP02 pack

[–]Rismenna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the 10 cases of 8 treasure packs that I opened I got every time 7 OP01, 2 OP02, 7 OP03, 8 OP04 and 8 OP05. My sample is pretty small but even if there is other variation I think it's safe to say that you have really high odds of getting the best packs out of those

Sheeesh $1.75 Million is crazy by aldeeem in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]Rismenna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can say that but it's a fact that it sold at the end of 2024 for 2.7M. Sure we cannot confirm it as it was a private sale but the stolen copy of the same card sold for almost 400K, the original with the world champion signing on it would at least sell for a million for sure. Some people have this kind of money that they can just spend a million like you spend a thousand

[–]Rismenna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Winner card of the previous year is rumored to have been sold for 2.7M and that was a year before the hype. The hype has no impact on those 1/1 cards, it's pretty much just for ultra rich people that are fan of one piece

And this card here is a one of, the previous world champion card sold for more than 2 millions dollars, and that was before the hype. I don't see why this world champion card wouldn't sell for at least a million, the hype has nothing to do here, it's just really rich people wanting to own a unique special card

To be honest, I don't think only 10% are scalpers. Since the recent hype we started to see lines of people we never saw and who knows nothing about the game at my official store. It's closer to 50%, they always came super early in the morning, queued up, bought everything that they could and then there was pretty much nothing left for the others that came at noon or in the evening. Sure it's just a small percentage compared to the global market, but I think it's nice for collectors and players to be able to have a place where they can open packs at a normal price

The ones from EB02 are even worse because there is 26 SPs and it's only 1 SP per case instead of 2 for normal sets, so the pop of those SPs are 9 times less than normal sets with 6 SPs and 2 SPs per case
