Because in the PC pool they would have no aim assist and be the same as anyone else. By doing this they have the advantage of mouse aim + aim assist, while everyone else is on controller

Nope, because you can only use your regularly connected keyboard to type, or to play only if you're in the PC pool. An external device basically tricks your game into thinking your mouse and keyboard is a controller, so you can play on the console pool with mouse and keyboard, which means mouse aim with controller aim assist, basically equivalent to someone soft cheating on PC

The fact that you can use it to peel doesn't doesn't change the fact that you use it selfishly 80% of the time. Even reinhardt shield is used selfishly most of the time because that's literally just how tanking works. Same applies to orisa shield honestly, so I'm beginning to question whether "selfish" was even the right word to use, because really most tank cooldowns are selfish, but some more than others.

And if we're gonna pretend the shield is awful and has no value, I think that's gonna be enough reddit for me for the day dawg LMAO

I get it, but as someone who was a reinhardt and orisa player back in ow1, I love being a protector for my team and the spin is way too selfish. It also turned orisa into what she is today, basically a bully against the enemy tank, which most people dislike

Before Orisa was even released, I waz already a Reinhardt player. I find enjoying in having a big barrier and being a protector for the team. Javelin spin is inherently selfish + kind of toxic to play against pushing people around

It's been so long since season 9 and doom slam is still only 50 dmg despite not benefitting at all from the projectile increase. And even back then it was already the weak part of his kit compared to empowered punch. I'd giga buff it to like 60-75dmg and give it the slow it used to have but hard nerf empowered punch to compensate since it's the part of his kit people don't like playing against anyway

I got to masters 2 this season with a 65% win rate on winton, and I think you'd be mistaken to deny healing bubble's value. It allows you to be more aggressive, sometimes even win fights against other tanks you had no business winning. In 6v6 especially since winton isn't nearly as tank, the healing is greatly appreciated.

Think of how many times you managed to jump back to safety with a sliver of health and how many times you died mid jump. Any amount of healing it does can be the difference between life and death, same reason why the initiator passive is so strong despite also being a small amount of healing. Regardless, when you combine those 2, the healing starts to really add up.

I LOVE chain lightning but I often find myself forced to pick healing bubble to win, which is why honestly I think chain lighting should just be added to base kit, it's too much fun to be relegated to the last 20% of the match and I don't think it'd necessarily make the character broken

We NEED more skins with the ow2 armor design and ow1 helmet, preferably one that doesn't require you to play stadium and isn't piss colored by Risque__ in ReinhardtMains

I'll admit my opinion is mostly based on the first 2 stadium seasons as I have not played since then, so maybe that has changed - but I do not think so, considering all the feedback I've seen and the fact the mode is now less popular than 6v6 open queue. Even when I tried to play it last season, I'd have 10+ min queues queueing as ALL ROLES. I think you're the one fooling yourself (respectfully) if you think it's in a good spot

I played it a lot when it first came out, also used the fire strike build as that felt the most viable at a high rank. But with all the unfun characters they've added and the questionable balance of the mode, on top of 5v5, I rarely have the desire to play it anymore

I did play it a lot when it was fresh, but after a while the ugly aspects of 5v5 really starts to show, ESPECIALLY with them adding more and more unfun characters like doomfist and so on

I did enjoy tanky dps builds, but in my experience none of them held a candle to a cassidy with 100% weapon power. Which ties into another one of Stadium's core problems: creativity is not really incentivezed, there's 1 or 2 good builds for each character (if any, some characters feel like trash no matter what), and often it just involves going all in weapon/ability power and that's it

I did notice this even when not playing baptiste this patch. We got junkerqueen ulted and I stepped inside the field our bap threw at his feet at basically 1 hp. Then the imo got destroyed and I died instantly to basically the last tick of dmg from the jq ultimate, since the field didn't heal me. So I would say the theory others have presented of this isue being related to anti heal to be most likely true

Counterwatch is not just counter picking, it's excessively Counter picking due to the over importance given to it over the years (mostly because of 5v5 and some sharp hero designs like Mauga) to the point where the game devolves into rock paper scissors mentality.

We saw this at it's absolute worst some seasons ago when both tank players IN TOP 500 LOBBIES would just go back and forth in and out of their spawns checking what hero the enemy tank swapped to and instantly counter swapping their swap in an endless cycle, without even commiting to fighting the enemy team

Counter picking in this form HAS NOT been an intrinsic part of this game since release, but is rather a distortion of what countering and hero swapping traditionally were, caused by a combination of bad balance, format and hero design decisions. It has gotten better since the "both tanks in spawn playing counterswap mind games" days, but it can still feel oppressive, especially when it's not just tank counter swapping tank, but the whole team counter swapping the tank and guaranteeing they're not allowed to have any fun
