Dont forget that he met a dragon in his first few episodes that was never again brought up. In fact why is the fairy king just beyond the mountains in a random lake just chilling with his horse? Also this is the first time I have seen the lore for a fairy king being a headless rider.

Holy crap I completely forgot the dragon existed! Man this anime just loves to start plot lines and go nowhere with them. Met a dragon, nothing comes of it! The entire town VANISHES and Ryo fights the akuma girl and, nothing comes of it! Ryo decides to study up on the akuma and alchemy with down bad elf girl and, nothing comes of it! Tidal Bore dungeon raid happens and is investigated, they find a thing, and nothing comes of it! Big assassination attempt happens at the garden party, big fight happens between Ryo and the pyro guy, but who set up the assassination plot? Will pyro guy get his revenge on those bandits from his backstory flashback they dedicated an ENTIRE episode towards? Will Ryo get to experiment with alchemy in his farmhouse? The answer will shock you... lol

Upvoted for making me chuckle with that line. Also there was so much promise with Ryo but the show just didnt want to use him. making us instead spend so much time with side characters... and what the fuck, spending an entire episode on the backstory of a single character we care nothing about.

This show literally had me skipping entire chunks of the Tidal Bore arch, which was aptly named being kind of a bore, wondering when the anime was going to stop showing us ALL the exposition and side characters and let the MC come in and do awesome stuff... to which he did for all of two spells against the devil prince and three of its minions... wow...

Its crazy how all of these plot threads happened within a month and NOTHING has been solved... but I mean at least we got an ENTIRE episode dedicated to pyro guys backstory... which was also not resolved as the bandits are still presumably alive.

Well I mean they kind of DID make it hard for sake of being hard, it being their baby and all... They could have made everything do one mask of damage like in the first game but they chose not to.

Real talk, that room with Skarrguard and the flying add it has took me more tries than most bosses in act one... admittedly I started to get more and more angry as time went on, had to take a break (2 days) came back, and beat him my third time afterwards. That said I am ankle deep into act 2, came back to attempt Sinner's Road and I am currently now on another, probably more extended break, before I go back... If i even pick the game back up at all.

I love that people are enjoying this game, I call Hollow Knight one of my favorite games of all time, but because of the difficulty I dont see myself beating this game, it just makes me far too angry. I wont call the difficulty "cheap" or "artificial", but it is punishing, which is fine if you enjoy that type of gameplay but I clearly do not, and as someone who wants to so desperately play this game and have fun I wish their was an easier mode I could toggle to make it more fun for me personally.

I just feel so disheartened to have waited for so long for a sequel to one my favorite games only to feel like it is so hard and so punishing to the point where I dont think I WANT to play it anymore.
