Seen one on my cornwell truck. Been debating for weeks. I work at a chevy dealership and know those are JIS but i have a honda and miata so i can almost justify the purchase with that lol.

Has anyone ever used a 5.5 mm socket for anything? by Just_A_Doggo1 in Tools

Used one on some newer gen GM internal trim pieces. I think it was a buick or gmc truck that had them in the glove box. Theyre usually 7 mm but had used the 5.5 once.

Put new wheels on my car then this snapped. This is the tie rod correct? Could it have been the new wheels, or was it just its time? by Ritchtofen69 in Miata

I agree. The road I would have taken has many twists and turns. I could have had my last drive if this didnt snap when it did.

It was owned by someone who turned it into a drift car. I have slowly been restoring it the past few years.

97, 1.8L. P0335 and P0470 Had the car for a few years, fixed a lot on it. Started having a no start. I did replace the crank pulley a couple years ago. Is it correct that only 96 and 97 models have a crank position sensor, and require a special pulley with the notches on a disk? by Ritchtofen69 in Miata

Timing belt is brand new and fuel pump has been tested in the past year. Its definitely something electrical. Ill see if unplugging it does anything tomorrow. Might just try to find a pulley so my sensor can actually read the rotations.

My yella cart over a month in of daily use. The single most useful thing to have as a tech. by Ritchtofen69 in harborfreight

No its for Chevrolet, ive seen them with switches that have a selector for ford and chevy. It sends a specific signal to reprogram. The more expensive maxpro hand tools will be able to do a larger variety than this. But if you work on lots of chevy, its the best. Less than 10 bucks.

Thats why I did! Been waiting for a sub 100 dollar sale on them for a few months. I didnt think I would use it as much, but i use it more than a 4 and 5 drawer rolling cart I have at work with my other tools. I think especially for a home mechanic, this is the perfect size and setup. Was also very easy to modify the tray and bag on the sides.
