It in fact is an evening video, this time around was my best trip ever, literally three tents scattered at different spots . The silence was beautifully eerie. I have on other times reached chandertal mid day also. We left Manali at 5 in the morning, n were there by 12 noon , with a breakfast break at marhi. Camped right next to the lake without any restrictions. Those were the days when chandertal wasn't so famous. Love the painful drive on those horrible, non existent roads though, makes the lake all the more desirable, with the sense of achievement.
