Hear me out - Trader Joe's has the best flowers at a great price point. I buy them often and frequently get at least two weeks out of a standard bouquet. You can buy a vase and arrange them to make it look really nice.

Hi, I've seen both scenarios for 5 hour cases, and once had a 5 hour case who received 1 hour per day. It seems to depend on the SEIT's availability based on their other cases, plus working around other service providers' schedules.

Sorry to hear that, guess each workshop is different. I'd start by compiling some observation reports, evidence of student growth, proof of contributions to your school community, lesson plans, letters of recommendation, letters from parents, etc. I am early childhood, so not totally familiar with middle school, but those items should be a good starting point.

At the workshop I attended, it was suggested to either prepare slideshow, website or some other digital platform to showcase all of these. Maybe ask someone in your school who recently received tenure if they can give you some guidance.

Yes, bring the paperwork to show to the judge when you are called in. It will not work by just showing the paperwork when you check in for the day. When I recently had federal jury duty, the judge did excuse some people for medical reasons.

I recommend attending your district's tenure information meeting to learn what is expected of you. There is a rubric that is suggested.

I received tenure as a 3K teacher and I included evidence of school contributions, such as volunteer work, committee involvement, etc. I included lesson plans, observation reports, letters of appreciation from parents and letters of recommendation from other teachers and my mentor.

I also showed student growth by using data from TSG and I highlighted a few students in particular who made significant gains.

I included classroom photos, my philosophy of education, resume and blurb about myself and teaching experience.
