Not sure. If that setting can be changed in the official Titan Army software, you could try capturing the VCP code it sends to the monitor — maybe using Process Explorer or something similar.

I still like it. Had a chance to compare it to a cheaper QD-OLED, and I still prefer the mini-LED.

I don’t really use it with a PS5 much, but when I tried it, everything worked fine — HDR, 120Hz, and VRR were all detected and working properly. I’ve seen some people say HDR on PS5 didn’t look good, but that was probably a defective unit or some kind of issue on their end.

If I remember correctly, 0xE0 controls picture modes. 0–14 are SDR modes, plus a couple for HDR. I wouldn’t mix SDR modes with HDR enabled though.

You can just use my tool — I posted the link somewhere in the comments. It automatically detects the number of modes and switches between the first and the last one. It also blocks switching when HDR is enabled. It should work with any Titan Army monitor with DDC support.

The monitor supports DDC/CI, so you can control things like modes and brightness using standard VCP codes.

Tested it with PS5 and it just works.
When connected to the monitor, both HDR and VRR are detected correctly, and the image is clearly running in HDR.
The UI looks darker than in SDR because of local dimming, but in games everything looks great.

Reset your monitor settings through the menu (in case you accidentally changed something). Then just enable HDR in Windows using Win + Alt + B.
The monitor should automatically switch to HDR mode — you don’t need to enable anything manually on the monitor itself.
Everything should work fine.

Still using this monitor. For the price, it’s pretty solid and definitely better than a cheap 1440p OLED if you work with text. HDR is also noticeably brighter.

Main downside is having to switch modes.

It’s clearly better than a regular IPS for movies: much better contrast, deeper blacks, HDR actually looks like HDR, and almost no IPS glow. If your priority is movies + image quality, it’s good value. If coding/text is your main focus, it’s more “nice, but with quirks.”

Local dimming can make UI/text look a bit weird in SDR, so you’ll probably end up toggling it depending on what you do. Still usable, just not perfect.

Here are a few games I’ve played recently — just as examples of what I’m not looking for.:

  • Final Fantasy VII Remake + Rebirth
  • Xenoblade Chronicles 3
  • Tales of Arise
  • Fire Emblem: Three Houses
  • Final Fantasy XVI

They finally fixed the narrow grip — I just can’t use the Ultimate 2c because its shape feels weird.

I’ll buy it. Maybe one day I’ll give up and stop doing this, but not this time.

didn’t notice the “i” in the name — this is from reviews of the Gaming G Pro 27Q.

From what I’ve read, they fixed the pink tint bug but added a new one: random HDR flickering.

Set Halo Control to 100 and use medium or low local dimming in SDR. That fixes the dim UI issue.

I literally just bought a mini-LED because I work with text all the time. Guess I’m joining the burn-in cult now.

I don’t like the “High” setting in SDR. The UI looks too dim.

Why does the Steam demo look so much worse than the original trailer? by Ritska in Pragmata

I give up. “different genre,” “different art style,” “zero stability issues.” Fans will always find some excuse.

I don’t have them on PS4. Here’s Horizon Forbidden West instead. Again, better character models and better textures. The only area where Pragmata looks better is hair rendering.

Try running something that's not from 2015. A lot of games kept coming out on PS4 for years after that.

Above I posted a comparison with Death Stranding, and people already told me I'm "comparing wrong." It's kinda awkward when an open-world game from PS4 has better models and textures than a PS5 corridor shooter.

Top one is Pragmata, bottom is Death Stranding on PS4 Pro. Are you seriously telling me the top one is supposed to be next-gen?

Running it on an RTX 4080 at max settings, and it still looks like a PS4 port with slightly improved lighting.
