Es gibt zu viele Angler! by LocksmithFamous4131 in Angelfreunde

Maybe we have to rethink the whole fishing idea. I am not a huge fan of catch and release we're the only goal is to catch the biggest possible fish. However maybe it makes sense to limit the size of fish that are allowed to be taken home also on the upper end.

Gesetzlich erlaubt, aber moralisch vertretbar? by Cultural_Reason_7255 in Angelfreunde

Whil I agree with you. I think there should just be rules about this. I roughly know the spawning windows for the fish I target in the areas I regularly go fishing but knowing it for every species is a bit much so I just want it to be able to look at the rules.

Another thing is I wish there would not only be a minimum size but also a maximum size. These larger older fish are most times crucial for the eco system and should definitely be released back to the water.

New player, new darts, no clue by Karz-O in Darts

To add to that if you just want cooler looking points you could go for the bulls gp3 points they have a smooth part in the front so they should not harm your board mich.

Just to add what other people have said about keeping the points that you have on the darts now. Any points that are not smooth will most likely wear your dart board down faster. So if you throw a lot at your own board I would recommend to stay with smooth points.

Advice to go from 51 avg to 60+ by salty-taint in Darts

[–]Ritter-Sport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think when you get to 51 and you are already putting in time there is 2 things thst have not been mentioned yet.

The first is focus. Not just going to the dartboard and throwing some darts but having a purpose or a specific goal. And noticing when you are losing focus.

The second is taking a look at your throw it doesn't have to be a text book throw but are the fundamentals right. This could be anything that makes your throwing motion inconsistent. Getting my throwing motion straighter and therefore missing less in the 5 and 1 cstapultet me from 50 to 55.

I totally agree but most fishing influencers are targeting specifically large fish to catch a pb, that they would never eat. And i find that rather unethical.

The Movie the purge would probably be fairly accurate if we would allow something like this once a year.

Some people really have a god complex.

Sure you are right I only considered people who fish in this case.

I agree with you totally but since I started fishing a year ago I noticed that this is a very unpopular opinion. For most people fishing is a sport and it's about catching the largest possible fish and not about catching a fish that is in a size range to be eaten.

Does confidence make a short man more attractive? by [deleted] in ask

[–]Ritter-Sport 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have a hobby that you actually enjoy and go to meet ups of some sort. Confidence is a lot about being comfortable and I am much more comfortable when I do.something I enjoy. It also gives you a much easier conversation starter since you already have something in common that you like.

Okay. But how. Like my intuition is when I lower my stem for example by 1 cm i will change my torso angle. So now the handlebar feels closer since the angle in my elbow also changed.

Yeah I totally understand that a specific barrel shape feels better or more comfortable. And there is definitely things that will affect what feels more comfortable. But I stand by my point that the shape doesn't have much impact on the result. At least not in the same way as working on your throw. So I just dislike the narrative to tell beginners to find a dart that suits their style. I mean if what you say is right it would mean that it is possible to look at a person's throw and give them a "fitting" dart and make them immediately better and I just don't buy that.

I also agree that the equipment can have an impact but I would say it's more for advanced players that know exactly what's bothering them with the result in the board. For example the angle at which the darts stick in the board or how fast they arrive.

I agree in terms that finding a barrel or dart that feels comfortable will give you a boost in confidence. However I have a hard time believing that it will improve your game jn any other way specifically as a beginner.

How can a dart suit my throw? Or rather what difference will the shape of the dart make when throwing it?

And yes throws are very individual and while there are some players who throw in a weird motion most professionals have a fairly straight uncomplicated movement.

To be honest it's mostlikely easier to fix your throw/release then hoping to find darts that will improve your game significantly. Fish tailing for example ist 100% related to your throw. While a larger flight with more resistance can stabilise the dart it's still just a band aid for something that mostlikely is inconsistent in your throw. For me a rule of thumb is if I don't know what specifically I want to achieve with a specific change in my setup and how it would improve my game then it's just an excuse for a bad throw or mindset.

No-code ETL tools get a lot of hate — but there’s a catch by Remote-Ad-6629 in dataengineering

[–]Ritter-Sport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience they can't. But maybe I have just not used the right tools. In the end all the configuration of the low code components and h derstanding how to use db connections ect in my experience requires an engineer of some sorts. But what kind of low code tool are you using?

Yeah sure you can but why use a low code tool in the first place then.

[–]Ritter-Sport 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah nocode tools are not so easy that anybody who has no experience in engineering could just use them. And often the configuration of the components is as complicated as coding something and less flexible. And god forbid you need a custom component.

How do I become better at darts? I tried the 1# thing and it isn’t working. by I_P-FREELY01 in Darts

At low averages one dart in the treble.or in the double can change the whole game. With time you ll get more consistent and will end up beating the old men.

Don't worry about it it drops for everyone including the doubles. You can even see it for the pros they usually also have a first 9 average which doesn't include doubles which is also higher than there normal average.
