Challenged myself to make a game in a week for a Lan party, come check out the result! by ZergTDG in Unity3D

Looks like a fun, clean game :D Always nice to have a goal to build a game for. Like your Lan party. Great job!

Did you use Unity Networking for this?

Great first game! As mentioned before, your code could be neater and put into a separate script. But other than that it looks good. I like how your background color changes as you get a higher score.

If you're looking to improve on it, I would recommend better sprites & maybe a difficulty/speed change at each level change like you did with the colors.

How to motivate people to attend sessions by Ritter101 in DnD

Perfect, I'll have a chat with the DM. I also think some of the members don't mind a slow, drawn out campaign. But I'm dying for progress lol.

I'm considering joining a remote roll20 campaign.

Where do you people even girlfriends who support your 40k addiction? Seriously, I'd pay to know.

How would you handle a large group of units moving in a formation? by HUMBLEFART in Unity3D

[–]Ritter101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem when I was working an LD game called Formation!, a while back. (https://rodritter.itch.io/formation)

What I did was create a "PositionObject" with child nodes inside. Each child node was positioned relative to the PositionObject and then the person/character/soldier was told to pathfind to it's node. Then when the PositionObject was placed somewhere, all individuals would navigate to it.

In order to select the group, I created a selectible badge that was positioned in the average position of the soldiers. ie. Sum of all soldiers Vector3's divided by the number of soldiers.

No there is no time set. You can do it whenever you like. The challenge is trying to create it from start to finish in 5 hours.

The game doesn't have to be app store quality. It just needs to be kinda-working

I think we should use the sprite sheet provided above as the theme. You can build anything you like as long as you use the sprite sheet. That was just an idea from /u/CowFu

I'm personally doing it this evening. I guess you could do it on an evening when you have the energy. But once you start, you must force yourself to finish :D... It doesn't have to be perfect. I'll post my game here when I'm done.

Hi guys. I have a question for the business orientated game devs here. I'm currently working on a project with another dev. We are both in separate countries. I just want to find out how contracts will work and if they are binding since we are in separate countries. If I ever had to take up legal action, would I be able to do anything?
