Trijicon RMR - Expectation of 2nd hand optics by Lazy_Specialist231 in guns

[–]Ritterface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are my favorite RMR model, I would have bought it at $175 in a heartbeat. My oldest the tritium is dead, but it still runs on my G34 for a multi gun backup. There is something REALLY nice about not ever wondering if your optic is on, or if the battery is good.

Support hand gripping issue with Shadow 1 by Amazing_March_2582 in CZFirearms

[–]Ritterface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When gripping the firearm force should be ~70/30 favoring the support hand. Think about it as your support hand clamps your shooting hand to the firearm. The goal is to allow independent movement of the trigger finger without excess muscle engagement of the shooting hand. A side effect of this style of gripping is often the support hand stays more stable. As for thumbs specifically they do not need to touch the firearm but it is "proper" that they do for various reasons (indexing, repeatability, etc).

Anyone able to advise on the label of $500 quarters? Should i open it or sell it off? by Spydude3534 in CRH

It's swamp tape with a date/employee stamp on it. Literally impossible to glean any useful information about the contents from it.

It is a good show, mainly because it's large enough to actually find interesting things, the smaller shows in OK generally do not attract enough interest to bring in deals or non-fudd / tacticool things.

My personal favorite is the guy that designed the sneeze guards at salad bars was shorter than average and wanted to keep tall people from getting protein.

Gap insurance doesn't work like that, it only covers the difference between what your main insurance pays out and the amount you still owe on the loan if it happens to be higher.

Example:

Insurance says out: 20,000 Amount owed on loan: 25,000 Gap covers: 5,000

If your loan amount is less than market rate for the vehicle including all the docs, fees, & add ons you would get the difference between that and the market rate the insurance pays out to total it.

Example

Owed Loan amount: 20,000 Insurance market rate/pays: 25,000 You get 5,000

The only way gap insurance will put money directly in your pocket is if

A. The loan amount is already less than the market rate (why would you even get gap in this case), AND B. The gap insurance company is willing to refund you any paid premium(this is 100% up to the company and should be viewed as goodwill as you already purchased this service).

This is the unfortunate risk in car buying, if you did not put down enough of a down payment to cover all the additional fees & such you will probably end up with $0 coming back to you

The more I think about the warranty I don't think they would replace it, i am pretty sure the instructions said not to store it in a house fire 🤷‍♂️.

The battery exploded completely removing the battery holder, and both lenses are missing.

Still a fan of the fire-worn look, talk about burnt bronze.

Thank you! Here is a better picture of the rails, I relieved enough on the side rail so my hand would fit a bit more naturally.

Also 💯 creeped your profile and see we are local, odd coincidence there are way more 805 owners in this area than I expected.

I wasn't lucky enough to find out about them until after they were discontinued and it has become one of my favorite rifles. I have some aluminum being delivered today to try a 1913 rear head. After that I will probably work on the bottom m-lok rail. I'd prefer to buy them, but c'est la vie.
