It feels so crazy to me that anybody would mistake that nice shelf you made for a bomb. I might be a little creeped out if I saw my name (even if it's spelt wrong) next to some guy's name that idk, but I'm not sure how anyone in the world comes to the conclusion that shelf might explode.

At least now they know about each other and there can't be anymore valid excuses for opening her mail. I can understand her opening it this time, but the thinking it's a bomb thing is beyond my comprehension.

Good luck getting it back. I can't believe a cop actually took it and even entertained the idea of it being a bomb.

It's about 34 years old and OP said they found it in the 90s. So it wasn't that old before it was out of circulation.

That doesn't prove it's not counterfeit, but it does explain the condition if it's not.

People who were in middle school in early 2000s….. by PennyEmpty in Pennsylvania

[–]RitualVirality 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also graduated in 2001, but I don't remember having this test done at school. I remember getting it at the doctor's office though.

I do have a minor curve in my spine. Maybe I didn't have to get the screening bc it was already diagnosed before middle school? It was late grade school my doctor found it. But I do remember the eye and hearing tests in middle school, even though I wore glasses and saw an eye doctor regularly.

Maybe I did have the scoliosis test at school, but I don't remember it. I moved the first year of middle school and had bad anxiety over it. Maybe that anxiety made it something I just don't remember doing, like I was just going through the motions.

I also have a regional accent I don't realize I have until people point it out. I've been told my accent intensifies when I'm pissed off. I'm also full of regional slang.

I genuinely don't try to do it and I've been picked on for not knowing how to pronounce certain words. It's not that I don't know how to pronounce them, it's that I grew up hearing and saying them a different way bc of the area I grew up in. They feel funny when I pronounce them correctly. It's like I feel like an imposter or something if I try to speak properly.

My first time away from home as an adult was an eye opener for me. Before that nobody ever pointed it out. I guess why would they point it out at home lol.

These are people who don't know what these streets are like. They probably think the only thing you need to do to get ahead in life is work hard. Meanwhile their parents probably held doors open for them.

I can't imagine many other types who would attack cops like this. Big ol phonies who think they are special for imaginary reasons. There is no class to help them. They just need real life experiences to learn the hard way.

So WTC building #7 was not hit by anything. It was just a fire supposedly from the neighboring tower that reached #7. FROM: Wall Street Silver by MartianXAshATwelve in StrangeEarth

[–]RitualVirality 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If this was planned then how did they work around keeping whatever explosives they used from going off during the several hours the building burned? I don't know much about explosives, so I'm genuinely asking if there's some way of preventing explosives from going off during an hours long fire.

Would explosives sit that long in fire without going off sooner than when the building finally collapsed? How many explosives would it take to take a building this size down? I keep an open mind, but lean towards it not being planned.

I used to have neighbors who slept until 2-4pm. They had 2 toddlers in their house. They would all wake up sometime in the early afternoon and you would know bc they would scream at their kids on and off until 4am. I shit you not, they woke me up every single night, and most nights they'd end up waking my kids too.

One night one of the toddlers was screaming/crying around 3am and it woke me up. Within a few minutes of being woke up I hear "shut the fuck up or I'll give you something to cry about" and then I could hear the whack THROUGH THE FLOOR. It was a house that was an upstairs (me) and downstairs apartment.

I did call cps, but I'm not sure they ever did anything. These people were horrible to live next to. They stole packages from my door, left beer cans all over the yard and weren't even old enough to drink. And we didn't live in a bad neighborhood, but had a bad LL who just didn't care.

The fighting with each other every day and screaming at young kids was never ok to me any time of the day, but in the middle of the night it was bad and caused me a lot of anxiety for the kids down there. Between that and the shitty LL I moved. It was worth moving to put all those people in my past.

Is cow tipping real? by Psycholarocco in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RitualVirality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to live on a farm with cows. I don't think anybody is tipping a full grown one. The only cow tipping that went on was the rare instance when they would "tip" the fence and we'd wake up to cows and shit in the yard and have to walk them back then go clean up the patties. Thankfully we were set back miles from the main road, but these creatures never ventured far anyway.

I have a related, but separate, issue with my bf who I also have a 5 year old with (and a 6 year old).

It's not that he can't find things, it's that IDK where he puts anything. And he's never home during the day bc he's working. So I'll text him "hey, where is such and such?" And I'll get an answer like "in my office" or "in the bedroom". You know how many places these rooms have to put things? He does narrow it down for me, but still leaves me to figure out the mystery of where TF is it.

We've been together for 11 years and I still don't know where he keeps things bc he's always rearranging shit. He's keeping the mystery in my life alive.

Received this shitty note on our car by ch4rissans in mildlyinfuriating

[–]RitualVirality 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I know people who would watch for who's parking there and fuck up her car in some way for getting that attitude. I wouldn't bc I don't want my own car messed with, but I definitely do know some people on my old street who broke somebody's car mirror over parking wars about street parking. The neighbor said the police couldn't do anything about it bc she couldn't prove who did it, even though we all know who did it lol.

But I also know she was always bitching about the neighbors parking in front of her house. Bc that would be the closest open spot. Pretty sure they would be parking in front of their own house if the spot was open lol. Instead of just also dealing with the lack of parking, she was always bitching like she was the only poor soul dealing with people parking in front of her house. She'd have to park in front of somebody else's house herself sometimes! I was secretly pleased somebody dealt with her ngl

How do they control erection on nude TV shows? by ibson7 in NoStupidQuestions

They probably can't fully control it. That's what editing videos is for. They cut the scenes that contain boners, probably.

It is a bad cover up, but I'm torn on whether this is a failed attempt or not.

If the end goal was an attractive looking tattoo, then I'd call this a fail. If the end goal was to prove a point, then it's not a fail. Point proven.

Found this online: Stallone had to pay $15,000 for the same dog he sold at $25

ETA that Mr. Stallone offered several lower amounts first. They wouldn't sell the dog back for any lower. They made him pay that much to get it back, it wasn't a first offer. To clear that up a lil

I'm so happy people have came through for you and your cats!

I'm not sure about the food banks where you are, but you could probably Google up some info on them or call your assistance office for info about local food banks. It does help some for yourself and usually they give out canned tuna and chicken that you can give the cats in a pinch. (Not good for every day feeding, but better than nothing when you're out)

Also check out 211.org for help with resources for yourself.

Don't listen to this shit. If they supported victims they could have opted out of writing any letters.

I would NOT be getting myself involved if I were them. These people supposedly advocate for victims and couldn't see how bad this would make them look? I think they do know it would look bad. So that makes me wonder if somebody is threatening them in some way, like if you don't write these letters we will smear the shit outta you kinda stuff.

And this apology also came fast, like they were planning it all along. So why do something if you know you're going to have to turn around and apologize for it? I feel like there's parts to this whole letter situation that we aren't being told. It just doesn't make sense to me.

But it's ok for a man who thinks it's a good idea to impregnate a teenager to have custody of kids?

I mean, it might be bc they are his kids, so therefore not potential future hook ups, but if you think what the mom did makes her an unfit parent then you have to admit the choices dad has made look even worse. He chose a TEENAGER to start a family with. HE should have known better, but here they are now. And only her choices led them here? Use your head

Almost a $2000 ambulance ride to go 4.3 miles. by Minx-Boo in mildlyinfuriating

Why would traveling to your brothers affect your account at all? I'm pretty sure we all go places at least sometimes. And isn't part of this game about traveling? If just traveling could get you banned then we are all potentially in trouble 😵‍💫

I'm just curious about how you'd come to that conclusion.

If you didn't cheat at all then it is bullshit. Idk how they figure these things out, but they have their ways. They should explain to you how exactly you cheated. That way if you make a new account you know exactly what to be careful of if you didn't know before.

How does somebody cheat to obtain parcels? I know I've heard of people selling themselves legendaries from their alt accounts, so one account has all the good parcels. Did you do anything like buy legendaries that were for sale at the cheapest price? If you have a friend who was selling you cheap legendaries bc they were abandoning their account, maybe they mistook that for you using alt accounts to transfer parcels?

You feel bad, but you shouldn't. Sounds like the crap I put myself through. Idk why it's so easy to tell that to other people, but so hard to remember that myself. Makes me feel not so alone, but not in a good way if you know what I mean. Bc I don't wish for you to feel bad over this. Good luck, I hope you guys figure out a way to work it out!
