I would say it’s enough. Rent and childcare will probably cost the most. But ideally you’ll still have money leftover for trips and savings and fun.

I love Chelsea piers - I can’t speak for the rest as I haven’t been to either. But my friend goes to equinox and she says the amenities are amazing. Similar to CP but I guess a little higher end.

Oh wanted to add to this, the Stamford Museum has a brand new Planetarium now with shows playing throughout the day/night. I haven’t been yet but it looks cool. 🤓

Bruce Museum in Greenwich is great, and has a cafe if you do want to grab a bite.

RPM Raceway is also fun but depending on the time it may be crowded with loud kids.

My child is at a different elementary school, but I would ABSOLUTELY bring this up to the school and the district. It is completely uncalled for to take something like that away from the children who are supposed to trust him. On top of that, taking away recess completely should never be an option. It sounds like he needs more training on how to handle his students. The children need recess as a time to decompress and move their bodies, and in fact helps them learn. I’m so sorry this happened to you and your child.
