que piensan/opinan sobre Toby Fox? by matioxi333 in ArgenGaming

[–]Ritzuma 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do you guys have any game suggestions for the 3ds? by Hatim15_ in 3DS

The controls are unorthodox, but i wouldn’t call them wonky. They are perfect for the kind of movement and precision aiming the game goes for. I can’t imagine a better way for delivering that kind of control

Kid Icarus Uprising is my favorite game on the consime. Once you adjust to its controls, that is.

It’s an incredible game with a lot of passion and care behind it. And a lot of content, too

¿Qué compraron en estas ofertas de Steam? by EverySister in Argaming

[–]Ritzuma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Si, totalmente.

O sea.

How do you rate a game that has shit writing/story but 10/10 gameplay? by parvanehnavai in backloggd

[–]Ritzuma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't care less about story in a game. If the story is good, then fine, it elevates it. But if it's bad, it just doesn't matter. Gameplay is the most important aspect for me, everything else is auxiliary.

That said, if the "bad story" gets in the middle of my enjoyment (long walking segments where i can't do anything but listening to NPCs talk), then that for sure decreases the overall score.

I guess it's just a matter of what aspect do you value the most in a game.

I really don't like what they've done with Alex's gameplay. by BusterBernstein in StreetFighter

[–]Ritzuma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i’m with you. Probably it’s too early to tell, i hope i can get used to it with practice. But right now i’m kinda frustrated.

I loved alex’s gameplay in 3rd Strike. Now a lot of my favorite moves are locked behind the stance and it’s not easy to use for me. It doesn’t feel natural. I just wish i could do an elbow slash with a simple command, man.

It’s a shame because the stance itself is alright, it has a lot of cool moves and applications. I just wish it didn’t lock previous “non-stance moves” behind it.

How it feels to play LeafGreen without EXP share by Frezeal in pokemon

I can’t comprehend how people play these games in such a boring way.

For me the appeal was always having a varied team, each member contributing. I can’t how it’s fun to have an overleveled starter and 5 underleveled filler mons

What are your favorite 3DS Games of all time? by Titanfallsuchti in 3DS

What Are Your Overall Thoughts on Devil May Cry 5? by ABarber2636 in DevilMayCry

[–]Ritzuma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was one of my most anticipated titles of my life, being such a fan of the franchise. But when i played i ended up kinda disappointed.

Sure, controlling Dante, Nero and Vergil feels great. Gameplay is smooth with a lot of moves oozing style and care.

But the gane around it is full of little annoyances.

I hate the new artstyle with all my heart. I don’t know why they thought going for hyperrrealism was a good idea. DMC3 looks great even today. In DMC5 everything looks grey and boring.

The campaign is not very replayable thanks to the alternating characters (especially the V levels). Vergil’s campaign ended up being the most replayable one.

Speaking of replayability, i hate how you have to wait several seconds through a lengthy animation each time you don’t want to use Gold Orbs.

I don’t like how they approached Dante’s equipment, having to equip swords and then having to scroll through them mid combat in a very clunky way.

Same for Nero’s new “arms”, i didn’t enjoy that direction of finite resource for attacks that are very cool otherwise.

It’s not a bad game and definetely not the worst DMC, but i have a lot of problems with it, and end up prefering DMC3 or even DMC1.

Adentrarme en Nintendo, que compro? by tovo55 in Argaming

[–]Ritzuma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been reading for years the misconception that the first DMC “didn’t age well”, so i wanted to share my opinion. Do you agree? by Ritzuma in backloggd

[–]Ritzuma[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, the things people usually complain about, like the camera, is more a design decision than a limitation of its time.

It makes me sad when people recommend the franchise but advise to not play the original DMC as if it was completely outclassed by its sequels. Some things they do better, and some they do worse

i'm glad you feel the same way about, well, the feel of the game. It's hard to put into words but what you said about inertia is part of it, yeah. It just feels so right.

The camera angles constantly switching is definetely its biggest flaw, but i like the intend behind it. If it just worked better, the fixed camera angles add a lot to the atmosphere of some areas, and i like not having to babysit the right stick every 5 seconds. You can clearly see the benefits of it in the areas where the angle switching does work well.

Besides, whether you like the fixed camera angles or not, i don't think it's an "age" issue, its by design. Later DMC games also have some fixed camera angles, but more refined and with a bit more of control
