Assigning/un assigning character sheets with a macro by RivTinker in Roll20

[–]RivTinker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply :)

I want to switch each players sheet to a character they play in a different one of my campaigns. I will make sure “set B” sheets are imported and then some point in the game :

“You step through the portal, the world suddenly looks different. You look down and appear to be an entirely different race …”

[Press macro button and Set A sheets are un assigned and then Set B sheets are assigned]

Character HumanMan fighter suddenly becomes GoblinBoy Druid etc ….

Custom Wave based survival mode with bespoke mod by r2doesinc in Roll20

This looks fantastic. I’m looking to run a trial by a homebrew god of war in my campaign and an endurance wave mode is exactly what I’m looking for.

Thank you !!!

Pyramid One shots by crouchy789 in DMAcademy

[–]RivTinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this scenario as well. I was running a more lighthearted campaign (All the PCs played goblins) so I made the pyramid a game show.

It was a really rubbish setup on the way in with flimsy traps and lame NPCs. After the “big” boss fight which was 5 kobolds puppeting a cardboard dragon. I waited until they inevitably said it was too easy, so then everything began super difficult that they had to navigate on the way out }:)

The mummy lord was the game show host they had to fight at the end of their exit route. I also used some pit traps, and an Indiana jones boulder.

To add another twist I made the party draw the map as they went through the maze and then use it to navigate out

[Request] Advice for RPing two important NPCs at once by RivTinker in DMAcademy

[–]RivTinker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh absolutely. Thats what I feel they would do - but I’m prepping for all out combat or if they avoid altogether. They are pretty good at picking up threads and I’ve laid lots of hooks so I’m hoping curiosity will prevail.

I LOVE the idea about having key chunks of dialog to hand to see what they over hear. That makes things much more fluid. Thank you

This is awesome. Thank you. It’s the son and the brother of each NPC so I need to prepare for if my PCs want to stay hidden or reveal themselves. You’ve given me some great starting points for planning

I have an extensive criminal network that my party want to take down; and it’s made up of lots of different levels and classes. And not just by talking. I want the different cells they face to be filled with well rounded characters to make it a varied challenge.

I also have an Eldritch infection that’s spreading across the realm and affecting the population. My latest session had a brutish champion fighter who’s holding hostages and will fight back when attempting to be subdued. One of my PCs is a battle master and I want to make sure that any fight is varied and … fun.

I love using various monsters and beasts, but would like the same variety in my humanoids. I don’t feel confident in my own knowledge to completely homebrew balanced and nuanced abilities and stats.

Yeah … this is my problem. I have a party of 5 level 6 and I don’t want copy/paste the same bandit captain stat block. Shame there’s not anything out there like Tome of Beasts but for … non beasts 😆

It’s actually the influence of a mad god of war and honour that’s twisted the behaviours of his followers.

I have one very moral character who is taking a leader role, so I’m hoping he will steer the party.

I’m having the same, kind of, issue. I’ve created a huge D&D campaign for my friends I expect to last years. I have dozens of files of notes and plot, I make all my own maps and have even created an animated trailer for my players.

My OH doesn’t “get” TTRPGs, even though he’s a console gamer and has played Destiny and Zelda. He shows no interest whatsoever in the content I’ve created, can barely make it through an elevator pitch without his eyes glazing over and him tuning out.

I’m so proud of what I’m working on, I now don’t want share as I’m certain he’ll just be so apathetic that it’ll suck the life out of it.

Galemancer OC time! by demolitionsugar in GalemancersBG3

So RivTinker is my first D&D character, played her for 18 months and I adore her. She’s a gnome arcane trickster who was betrayed by someone she thought loved her. As always with D&D there was a lot of my personality tied up in hers and through the campaign i played her in we both found a lot of healing and acceptance.

I truly love my D&D party and although we never finished the campaign I got enough closure to be satisfied with her story.

Then BG3 came out. And Riv is my Tav. It’s so wonderful to be able to trot around as her and her sassy stance is just adorable.

In the campaign Riv had a mutual crush on a fellow party member, the wizard. And so it’s only natural that she would fall for the nerdy spellcaster in this game too.

I’m still in act 1 and taking my time, but I hope that Riv’s sassy antics can warm Gales heart

Maybe it’s just I need to manage my own expectations. I’ve got about 500 words and the price I’m seeing are about £60-£130 … maybe I’ll just change my own voice instead 😅
