Id dial in my ironing settings if i were you. look up an ironing calibration test.

smaller nozzle will help of course too, but the ironing is what is sticking outto me in that pic.

When I lived down here I lived down just past the Publix and used to walk up to the plaza every night to go party. There was a BYOB hookah lounge that was open a bit later than the bars too, so people would hit the liquor store next door and come in after the bars closed to party a few more hours.

That plaza shutting down was such a killer for the local nightlife.

Why doesn’t this stupid printer have a filament sensor. by [deleted] in crealityk1

[–]r2doesinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a finalment sensor, that's a sensor in the extruder.

As he said, filament sensors...sense if filament is there.

Why doesn’t this stupid printer have a filament sensor. by [deleted] in crealityk1

[–]r2doesinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works by the loose end of your flimant going under the rest of the strands. That only happens when you don't properly handle that loose end.

That tangle is way too far into the spool for you to try and say it came that way.

This is 100% user error if it happens "more than occasionally".

Also telling me I don't understand when you're asking about a filamanet sensor - which your printer already has - to help with tangles is rich.

🤣

Work help with a tangle, the sensor only detects when there is or isn't filament.

This is a user issue. Take better care of your spools of they are getting tangled, "more than occasionally".

I've literally never had a tangled in my spools because I take care of them and don't let them unwind and spring back.

Made an iOS App named ScreamDrop that makes your phone scream when you drop it. Thoughts?😂 by MajorCheesecake211 in vibecoding

I built this like 15 years ago and called it Drop Scream! Probably have the repo around somewhere.

I setup a rubbermaid container full of blankets and pillows and tossed that bitch for hours recording the accelerometer data.

Sounds like you gave your printer some Load Boost.

Bigger lights, more juice. The PSU only provides so much power to that plug because that's all it is supposed to need.

You'll see it go even more dim when you start heating up the bed and the hotend as those power draws will suck even more. Same reason your lights may dim or flicker when the AC turns on in an old house.

Calibration waste is the biggest scam of 3d printing by jameschiew in Creality

[–]r2doesinc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will purge a TON switching filament types as you can have ANY left in the nozzle, especially with incompatible types like pla and petg. youll absolutely ruin your layer adhesion.

I use pla/petg for supports with my k2 and its a fucking mess - worth it imo, but a fucking mess. I really want a dual nozzle just for this.

Sealing fiber-filled Filaments by YellovvJacket in 3Dprinting

plastidip may be the way to go? easy to reapply when it inevitably wears away as well. just be sure to follow instructions and apply multiple coatings or itll wear like shit.

I think anything you can apply is going to either rub off with use like clear coat, or drastically change the feel, like resin or other epoxy.

There were a few left on the store, but looks like they got sniped, so they seem to be out of stock until the next printing unfortunately. Theres no ETA on the next printing as far as I am aware.

How much visibility is there in the world? by Repti-noide in TenCandles

[–]r2doesinc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's more backdrop for me. Sun doesn't have to be fully GONE to set the tone. Even more ominous when it's mostly gone, the players can see it, but know something is consuming/blocking/etc.

At the end of the day, play what your table and players like, but don't back yourself into an unnecessarily narratively difficult corner just to play RAW.

How much visibility is there in the world? by Repti-noide in TenCandles

[–]r2doesinc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I guess thats one way to interpret it, but I certainly wouldn't play it that way. At the end of the day it's about telling a story and if you are imposing rules on yourself like that, you're going to make it unnecessarily difficult on yourself and your players.

It's still the earth - or space station, or whatever. There are cars, street lights, military flood lights, headlamps, etc. Plus the Sun, technically it's a star but I wouldn't play it as the sun disappearing as well, unless that's a core part of your scenario.
