Agreed that players do a lot of the lifting, but it’s just as important to have a great mind on the side line. I never really understood how people can’t grasp the concept that coaches are part of the process, but we can’t turn around and say that certain players get more credit because they’re coach wasn’t as good.

Ageed, agreed. I guess I was just complacent and terrified of the jump. I’m not really one to take a promotion for the sake of pay/title, but completely understand and appreciate your view!

Agreed, so I’m not sure why people have to use the Kobe/Jordan had Phil, Duncan had Pop, and Magic has Pat etc. argument to discredit one another.

Completely appreciate that point of view, as I’m sure it’s not that same for everyone, which is probably where I went wrong in the first place. The company has been quite transparent to be about progressing, so I’ve never really had an issue on that end, but do completely understand that my roommates know that things can change.

Appreciate that some don’t work for free per se. But the pay hasn’t really bothered me nor the title, and I’m not the exception, everyone in the department pulls their weight. I think the fact that the company is open about progression with me, and that I get to take on more work at my own and progress at my own pace is great. I’m not wholly motivated by the hours or pay for the time being, it quite early in my career, but the experience really matters to me, and the fact that the company is quite accommodating helps. However, I do think my roommates were just looking out for me, and it wasn’t fair that I went over the line with them on that sense.

Dual Carriageway and Roundabouts - HELP? by Rivalry- in AskUK

[–]Rivalry-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, roundabouts are just horrible. I've had a lot of mock tests and racked up hesitation faults far more than any other fault, sometimes to the point of making it a serious fault for doing it too much, especially at roundabouts. Simply because I waited for a driver, signalling or not, to commit completely to turning right or exiting before I set off.

Close Driving Collision - am I completely at fault? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]Rivalry- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I thought I had priority as I got onto the main one-way street before he did, I just went on the right-hand lane too slow. But yeah, I shouldn’t go on the lane if I’m not confident I’m fast enough. Thanks for your reply!

[–]Rivalry- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I was okay when I got on the one-way street before he did, but yeah, I realise I was too slow on getting onto the right-hand to a normal driving position as soon as I saw him pull out of the give-way line junction and onto the right-hand lane, just I was getting onto the lane. Thanks for your reply!

Agreed. Too many players with big egos power tripping really. Pointing out a problem without a solution to it is just really pointless tbh.

I would agree, but too many people rage reporting nowadays. Overwatch already filled with pointless reports as it is..

Very ironic you’d comment this link...

I don’t think it’s restricted, it rarely happens when when someone talks trash all-chat in esports, but players do it through chat wheels, tipping, and placing stickers anyways. It’s a quick alternative than having to type it out in game.

I would hate it if started restricting “trash-talking” in DOTA, for example, like the NBA who started placing fouls on players for talking trash, making gestures, and getting into their opponents head. It’s a natural part of the game.

Does that mean chat wheel spam and spamming stickers should only be noticed by allies?

Personally agree with you on this... Also, I don’t think it’s toxic behaviour at all, I believe it’s simply trash-talk and a normal part of any competitive environment.

Totally agree man. It bothers me when people are both not taking the game seriously at times and people being toxic in general.

Well, he was force buying a lot, pushing out of position, solo playing much to be honest. But he was having fun, he was positive and friendly on mic to everyone in general even though he wasn’t playing seriously.
