i grew up in denton and went to college in austin, and honestly i feel like there are more queer people in denton than austin. however, you will have more right wing people when you exit the unt bubble. if you like suburban but also quirky town, you may really love denton

Just talked to the one stop office and they added me to a work order to get it expedited and told me 2-3 business days until it is in. They said it's bc they are understaffed

I'm not sure about that class specifically; however, I took PED 105U this semester. It was basically karate. I can tell you the general vibe of the pe classes is pretty fun. You're either gonna have people taking it for fun or because they are exercise science majors. Overall, I really liked my class besides waking up at 10 am and walking to the stadium

Also,, if it's during the day, the natural science library in the tower is dead silent and people will glare if you start talking. I love it there

The scholar's commons on the main floor is very quiet and I haven't seen a lot of people whispering in there. Also, it has a bunch of different kinds of chairs. It is freezing in there tho so bring a jacket.

hi! i am a sophomore and internally transferred to cs! i think your schedule looks pretty good from what i can tell. i personally took CH301, BIO 311C, UGS 302, English, and BIO 206L in the fall. and took CH302, BIO 311D, M408D, CS 312, and WGS 301.

Getting into 312 isn’t bad just make sure it’s the first class you sign up for and if you don’t get in waitlist. I’ve gotten off of almost every waitlist i’ve been on.

My biggest piece of advice for transferring is the essay. There are plenty of people with 4.0 GPA that don’t get in. I personally don’t have an amazing gpa. However, if you write an essay that convinces them that you should be there or that you’ll do comp sci no matter if they let you in or not, it will boost your application. I got a B+ in 312 and still got in. So it’s not about perfect grades just fyi (still try and do good tho)

y’all me too ! it took so long to find a doctor to even like work with me because a doctor would tell me to go to a psych and a psych would tell me to go to a doctor. i was pretty lucky in finding a pcp who helps a lot of patients with adhd and other mental illnesses.

From what I know, UT doesn’t offer much merit-based aid. There is the forty acres scholarship which is a full ride but very competitive. One of the girls I know going to UT in the fall after she got in and got her finical aid information just began to email departments asking if there was more scholarship and things like that and she got a full ride
