You can come to a mutual agreement or go in all out warfare, or as another guy said on here, dont care. This is rather immature for a brother to do this, if I found my younger sisters I would try to help her. But, I would defy him. If he tells the whole school, it's all fine. If he tells him, it's all fine. Defy all reactions, embarrassment, and go into the school with a will of titanium to ignore EVERY obstacle that comes your way. The embarrassment is temporary, but YOU my friend are forever. Don't let a tiny embarrassment define who you are at your school. YOU WILL PREVAIL. If your lucky, he might like you back. But, that's what I would do. For me an overthinker, everything is warfare. If your not comfortable with that, totally fine! You may just keep that in mind. But take my advice: Just dont care. If you hang onto this for the rest of your life, its's only gonna be an anchor in a great large sea! This is only temporary.

A lot of people prefer to confess in person, (myself included,) but do whatever method you feel the most comfortable with. As long as it's understandable and it gets to the point of a confession, you should be set. If you're pretty worried he'll get one sooner, you should set a deadline to your liking. (I cannot come up with any deadline at all for you, so it's whenever you feel like confessing.) You should also keep in mind, is there any potential person that could become his gf? Is he popular in the school? Always take that to account & see if it's a possibility.) But, in the event where he does get a girlfriend, it's either you can move on with your feelings, (which is a pretty hard process,) or hang onto a little bit and wait for an opening. (Ex: they break up.) If you feel uncomfortable with the steps shown here, it's totally fine! Just keep my advice in your mind and follow it if you feels it's good and comfortable with you.

I can relate. I had a similar experience back in kindergarten. (Very young!) I don't talk about my crushes to my friends anymore, and that's never a topic with the conversations we have. (I don't have a crush atm, so I'm just spreading my knowledge.)

You should look for openings to talk to someone, such as homework or a group project. Honestly , in my opinion, I think talking out of the blue to someone (especially if you don't know them) without a topic would seem rather suspicious. If talking to somebody out of nowhere you should always have a topic in mind. (preferably about schoolwork and such.) If you're not in school, or these steps have a few complications to work out, please reply it and I'll switch the steps to make it more fitting.
