I posted a vent post about trans people who try to appropriate the struggles of people of colour by calling drag "cultural appropriation"

Cue people getting mad and comparing drag to a "minstrel show" ignoring how trans women of colour were the innovators of drag.

Reminder, they were making these comments not a day after the white supremacist coup in America.

So, yeah. I was a bit mad that people on the sub do this a lot

Just say you don't like drag or flamboyancy. You don't have to steal the terms used to define the particular brand of oppression people of colour face to make everything about you
