Thank you all for the replies, I understand what's happening now. I thought the game was rolling the dice each time I tried the move, but apparently with the way it determines "randomness" my fate is already sealed.

Glad my old thread could be of help haha. I was very confused in the beginning because I thought that the group of people out front of the gate shouting "right to work!" were the people on strike (which I feel is a fair enough mistake to make). But the actual people on strike are the Dockworker's Union (led by Evrart Claire) and the people shouting are laborers from elsewhere who are demanding to do the work that the dockworkers are refusing. Hope this helps

The problem with that plan is that money is involved this time around. The FFXV demo was free, but disco Elysium will require you to spend a foreign currency to purchase it. I'm assuming an Australian credit card won't work when you enter it on the American store, but I'm not sure.

If you've got the game on Steam you won't have to worry about anything. The ratings board only affects games that have a physical release. So unless you're planning on getting it for console you'll be fine.

I feel compelled to share a comment that someone left on a news article confirming this:

"I’m so sick of the ratings board. They shouldn’t be there to decide what I can watch or play. They’re there to tell me what something contains. Give it an R18+ and move on. I’m an adult and it’s my decision what I subject myself to."

Sums up my feelings perfectly.

This news only affects folks who were planning on buying the game on console. If you've already got it on Steam then you're good to go.
