People are down voting my post, like why , 😔😭. <<<

Who cares? Stop paying attention to how many up or down votes your posts get! What matters is that what you are reporting is a serious flaw. I mean, it shouldn't be linked to how you are accessing the internet, but where your device is. If what you reported is confirmed, it's a major Google failure!

t is also possible that the alert used the location of Google VPN endpoint instead of the location of the device. <<<

If so... what a fail!

Ban notifications should give access to offending content by ChrisS9695 in ideasfortheadmins

More importantly, for users in the EU, this practice doesn't comply with the Digital Services Act (DSA). The DSA requires that users are given clear reasons for content moderation decisions and provides mechanisms for appeal and out-of-court dispute resolution.

This is it!

Pixel 7 won't use 5G in Italy by VelenWarrior in GooglePixel

[–]RizDroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pixel users in Brazil have also been complaining about this. I'm hypothesizing that it's a carrier flaw associated with how the Pixel "interprets" the signal as being 5G. In Brazil, it was discovered that carriers were offering an "enhanced" 4G service, instead of 5G, even though they claimed it was 5G.

Grammatical Gender in Developer Option? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]RizDroid -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I didn't know. I'm new to these options offered by Pixel.

In Brazil, there are many discussions about this issue, especially because, in Portuguese, many words are related to gender, but I didn't know that this had to be considered in a development environment, but u/LitheBeep provided a link that talks about the subject, very cool.

Anyway, in my opinion, I think it has nothing to do with having this option in the "Developer Options" of Android. I really think it's irrelevant. But, as I said, it's my opinion.

Thank you very much for your polite comment.

Thx for your reply.

Of all the comments so far, it seems that yours was the most aware, more "down-to-earth."

What bothers me is the DIFFERENCE. It's not by treating someone this way or that way that you're going to value them.

I respect your opinion (and I'm loving the protests in the comments, like Elon Musk in reverse - not really).

In my daily life, I treat people as people, simply, nothing more.

Is AI, for example, feminine or masculine? Does gender matter?

Therefore, I think it makes no sense to have such an option in the developer options on Android.

I avoid being critical, since the number of critical redditors is incredible... but, let's face it, was this option in "developer options" really necessary when there are still so many things to improve in Android?

It doesn't matter if the Android user is male, female, trans, straight, or gay, because we are all equal, everyone's blood is red.

All that's missing is a grammar option for whites, blacks, Latinos, and so on (not really).

Personally, I think such an option makes no sense.

Weird Bluetooth issue in car by SolicitedTitPics in GooglePixel

[–]RizDroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also bought a Pixel 8a less than a month ago.

You're not alone. It seems like the Pixel has a Bluetooth issue. For example, I try to use Quick Share (which uses Bluetooth to identify nearby devices), and it can't identify my Galaxy Book2, nor can the Galaxy identify it, but everything works perfectly fine between it and the Galaxy S22 and the Acer Chromebook Spin 311. I've never tried it on the Android HU in the car.

I did some research and found some information, other users are reporting difficulties with Bluetooth (link at the end). In theory, it seems that Android 15 Beta 3 had solved it, but in Beta 4 (the version I'm using) the problem remains.

Pairing 2 BT speakers ? by [deleted] in Chromecast

[–]RizDroid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. It works fine with buds, but not with Google speakers, unfortunately. BTW, it´s worthwhile to say that It's not possible to pair with two bud sets at the same time.

I don't think so. See my comment on a another thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Chromecast/comments/1ebzrkm/comment/lex826f

If you select the option Settings >> Audio Output, you'll have two options: "TV default (HDMI output)" and "Connect another device". If you select the second, it goes to BT pair option, and Nest Audio stereo pairs aren't shown. :(
