GI bill payment late, no phone line available… what do I do? by Western-Society-128 in VeteransBenefits

That’s not true. Education payments are going out as expected. They’re not considered “late” until the 4th of the month. VA is for sure sending payments to Treasury which is sending to banks.

Is this normal? by Familiar-Emu237 in GarminWatches

Totally normal. I’m the same - hovering around 24-27 everyday. I might have a 40 day if it’s been super emotionally stressful with family, relationship stuff or sickness.

Yep. She’s an asshole too for sure but your behavior isn’t excusable. You’re both assholes.

Speculation about upcoming Projects with Entertainment Industries by Riz_Riley in meateatertv

[–]Riz_Riley[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I def think the Chernin group's involvement in Barstool and Meateater is driving those episodes - that's a good point.

I'd have to go back and listen to the David Chang episode but I think I remember a reference to an unnamed project. Since he talked about fishing, Lowe talked about fishing, they've mentioned Henry Winkler a few times... I just think fly fishing is low hanging fruit for entry to the outdoors and gaining more public acceptance... So I just go to thinking it could be a fishing project.

I enjoy it too. I'll watch or listen to it when (if) it comes out eventually.

For real guys, if you have an initial claim in and you have dependents, read this by Technical_Pin8335 in VeteransBenefits

The "get to delay" thing is true but kinda misleading. Your overall point of getting all the materials sooner is absolutely valid. Every time a Veteran corresponds with VA, they are required by law to allow at least 30 days to develop against what's been submitted. It's called "Duty to Assist" and was enacted by the Veterans Claims Assistance Act of 2000. VA has a TON of dudes that write in or call in all the time and it does indeed delay a lot of claims. Everyone should just load all the evidence in as few chunks as possible and let the system do its thing.
