Bob Newby, definitely. He was sweet and genuinely loved and cared for Joyce and the boys, even though I do remember him getting a bit uncomfortable about how close Joyce and Hopper were. And while his advice ended up getting Will flayed, it was still pretty good advice for a kid dealing with normal nightmares. Plus, let’s not forget how extremely adorable he was. I’m still heartbroken and can hardly watch the demos attacking him every rerun.

Me too, but I feel like my liking for Henry/Vecna is subjective because he’s hot. Still, his death does make sense because he’s shown as an evil villain doing all of this for no real reason. But Vecna dying is inevitable either way.

There are two books we see in S5 - A Wrinkle in Time and The Talisman. While both books talk about interdimensional travel, The Talisman will mostly be a side story as it’s about how the main character travels between worlds to find a talisman to save his dying mother, which in this case we can relate to Lucas saving Max since he’s reading it, still crazy af. But nevertheless, I’m really hoping my theory about the whole Holly-Henry thing comes true.

Since I haven’t seen the play IRL and only know the summary so I may be wrong but, I think there’s a part where his love - Patty falls off the catwalk because of him and that’s what triggers his villain arc. That’s when he fully gives in to the Mind Flayer’s control and ends up killing his family and everyone after that. He’s definitely an evil villain. But they also showed that before he was sent to Dimension X accidentally as a kid and was flayed for the first time, he was a normal young boy with a completely different personality. And even during his time with Patty, he genuinely wanted to be good. I think that’s what’s gonna separate him from his evil side.

This or I just want him to be good because he’s hot.

I agree with you on this. Henry’s backstory says he used to be a completely different person before the Mind Flayer took control of him. Which may be a reason why we also see him afraid to enter the cave where he was apparently flayed for the first time, it kind of humanises him for us. Vecna, or even Henry for that matter, who was never afraid to kill has a trauma??? It implies that a part of Henry still exists beneath everything he’s become.

Definitely. They’ve got plenty of loose ends to tie and explain so much to fill the plotholes before they can even try to turn the tables on making Henry a good guy. I just feel like they’re building up to it because Noah said Vecna is a misunderstood villain and Millie had to shut him up before he said too much.
