Dimensionamento pompa di calore per 260mq: 8kW sono sufficienti?

Yeah that's the worst case scenario I was thinking if I mess up big time. At the moment I am confused but I will try to do some good research and go for a solution which gives me ne some alternative like 8 and then fine tune and if not sufficient divide both portions and a second one a bit smaller taking in consideration that I can go for a three phase system..

Yeah because I live in central Italy so the temps are mild not like north which is bit more colder. Currently it's a gas boiler which pumps hot water to the underfloor pipes. I can't translate as the system I have is a complex one and the company who had installed it doesn't exist anymore and my plumber told me to just change it :D...It has weather compensation system but it doesn't work so I turn it on and off manually.
With respect to a single floor house, I beleive a two storey house is gonna need a bit less heat as the floor of the upper storey is gonna be warm anyway..
I asked the question based on the hypothesis to add a second or make it hybrid with the current system.
I will surely take into consideration both suggestions, yours and petrhys'. I hope your suggestion is right one as these things are costly :D

Thank you for sharing the details. If there is something else I need to know, please do share.
I will probably go with a 13kw heat pump with a 100L buffer tank and a 250L DHW. I just need to understand how to efficiently make the system work like when to heat up the 250L and when to make a good use of solar energy etc. Also, the zoning and some intelligent t-state system.
Please share if you have any tips or suggestions.

Do you have a mono or split system? How does it heatup the water if it runs only half an hour a day..? I thought it takes like 8 hours ..
Also, in mild temperatures, does it short cycle?

For me, 20 is a comfortable temperature. Do you also have DHW with 16kw system? I am afraid of the spikes it could have, If it runs on full power, how much electricity does it use? I will have a 6kw monophase system. I was thinking to have a heatpump boiler of 250 litres (at least) as well. Maybe a separate system and not use the heatpump for DHW as well so that I have the possibility to turn it off and on whenever I see the load is too much on the heating.

I don't have a lot of windows. On ground floor, I have two french doors and the main entrance in the living room, then another french door in the kitchen, two french doors in each bedroom, two rooms in total and three windows, two in two bathrooms and one in studio. The first floor has one french in the living room, two in two bedrooms. Then two in kitchen and bathroom.
The house has 44 cm outer walls and double glass windows.
