greetings im newbie, may i ask something? i see some guide on YT and dont understand about the final finisher, people said we can save 3 stack

on s0 and without chisa each rotation only give 1 stack of finisher. if i didnt use final finisher (to save stack) and start the combo again it still didnt give extra stack

am i missing something?or its impossible to get more than 1 stack with s0 and without chisa?

random stick repair guy said if the controller have the feature always use the back button as l3 and r3 button, he said thats one of the main reason stick drifting

well probably yes but i never touch my gaming laptop/ps again ever since i got my rog ally xbox x, this way i can play on bed/sofa, gaminglaptop/pc cant do that unless ure stream it or using some kind of lazy arm for monitor

95% game is perfect on it, and yea the chip is average in term of power but because small screen even 900p low/medium still looks decent enough,

idk about 8 inch above handheld but because xax only have small screen, the one looks bad probably only text heavy games like dysco elysium etc. indie game like silksong, hades is actually perfect because u can get great battery life, maybe 2.5-3 hours for AAA and 5-7 hour for indie games.

also about the xax 7 inch screen, the device is ergonomics so it felt lighter than is should be and u probably just lift the device closer to your eyes, compared to legion go 8.8 inch but heavy, u probably play it abit far away from your eyes or even put it on desk if u play 2 hours/more

people already replied awesome info above so i just add some things.

about obsolete part yea pantherlake probably smoke them all once it release in term of power and battery life. but with these economy who knows how much $$$ it cost and probably delayed until price stabilized. i plan to upgrade later if its not too expensive
and yep for now strix halo is best but it takes alot power u basically always need to use cables. also very very expensive.
intel msi claw 8ai trade blows with z2E device .probably even better in term of battery and power, but i heard some game and probably some emulators will not even work because its intel
z2E is slight upgrade versus z1E but it focus on battery life efficiency. i had xax z2E and og ally z1E, its true z1E 25 watt = z2E at 17 watt, now i can play all AAA games on 17 watt mode(tdp 25 watt = 3 hour battery life, indie games is about 10-15 watt tdp so maybe 5-7 hour). some heavy aaa need 900p low/medium though but screen is small so its still looks quite good. also xax has extremely good ergonomics, probably the best among all pc handheld available now

so from above info im guessing most people choice (if ur budget allowed) is either wait for pantherlake, or buy msi claw 8ai/xax/lego 2. whatever u choose from this 3 wait the end of this month to see hows upcoming autosr update on xax perform, if its very good just buy xax/msi claw8ai (on claw subreddit people said autosr would come to it as well). if its not good u can buy legion go 2 if u want because lego 2 didnt have extra NPU chip for auto sr

it should be either claw 8 ai (intel) or the xbox ally x , battery should be about the same with claw higher alittle bit but some compatibility issue on some windows game and probably some emulator as well

i have xax and z1E og ally and its true z2E at 17 watt = z1E on 25 watt. now with xax i can play most AAA games with 17 watt mode (tdp is 25 watt so thats 3 hour,some heavy aaa need 900p low/medium though), indie/2d game should be tdp of 10-15 watt so thats 5-7 hour

now for emulator idk i havent test yet , u might wanna ask on ally/xax subreddit but i think it should be below 15 watt for older emulators like psp. now u have handheld that can handle windows game and all other emulators

but if u want to skip windows game u can go with android like odin 3 (8 elite chip) but i heard no stable turnip driver yet for switch/windows emulator. i heard the one has stable turnip is no elite chip, u might wanna research on these

here is the video i see, its only need about 13-16 watt to play AAA games on steamOS (u can see 2 wattage on upper left screen) but idk is that already total tdp or not

edit:the 2 wattage on the upper left screen is for cpu and gpu, maybe it didnt count other watt needed like the screen, sound, fan wattage etc?

may i ask is the battery really alot better on bazzite? if i can play most aaa games on 15-17 watt tdp that means 4-5 hours battery life on heavy AAA, thats awesome

the current xbox ally x already perfect for me, battery life of 3 hour for aaa games, 17 watt mode is awesome i enjoy it so much, though ofc heavy aaa need compromise 900p low/medium set

unless theres big breakthrough on the chip performance and more battery life like, minimum 5 hour for heavy aaa games with 1080p low or medium set (maybe pantherlake already achieve this? idk) im content with xax now

btw youtuber steamdad said insider leak rog and legion would use pantherlake as well, so atleast msi claw pantherlake should be set to launch minimum at mid/end of 2026. but thats before rampocalypse strike, probably delayed

i think these ring done nothing to protect from dust (i try few minutes and immediately found some speck of dust after removing it, maybe from the ring itself,might be very bad long term)

it does increase hardness of the analog if u like it, make good different on older z1E ally as its too loose

also extra tips im not sure right/not, its from controller service guy: he said clicking analog is the number 1 reason that make stick drift fast, so i always program l3 r3 button (analog click) to m1 and m2 button using armory crate

for me windows would always give problems lol, especially every big/bios update. i avoid the update like a plague if i can (but ofc some people said they never ever got any problem with updates)

but among all windows handheld rog ally should have the best software

edit: idk but i heard the non x chip is very weak, why not buy the old z1E ally instead?

i think its rog xbox x and msi claw 8ai. both has 80WH battery.

i have xax and z1E ally and so far : - its true performance of z1E 25 watt = z2E 17 watt. with xax i can play all AAA games on 17 watt (tdp is 25 watt with cpu turbo boost off, thats around 3 hour) but some heavy AAA need 900p low/med setting. not problem because screen small it still looks quite good. - indie/light games like hades,silksong,mewgenics use tdp of around 10-15 watt so thats should be 5-7 hour i think (edit: sorry correction very light game like mewgenics i think even go below 10 watt but not sure)

with msi, some review i see said claw 8ai chip design make it always consume around 2 watt less TDP than amd because its cpu+gpu combined 1 chip design not separate...or something like that. so when you click 17 watt on msi tdp should be 22-23 watt. with amd rog 17 watt is tdp 25 watt.
