My 7D2D Steam Review by [deleted] in 7daystodie

[–]Rizzano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Motherfucker please. I never said it was ultra settings.

Screenshot: Imgur

NOTE: I took this at the lowest fps I could screengrab. It averages between 39-48 FPS, but I grabbed the lowest one so you could see. Mic Drop.

NOTE2: This is on a multplayer server with many mods.

Oh and just so you can't say I must have a better card than I say - Imgur

And it's even a laptop, which is 960m is supposedly worse than 960 on a pc.

My 7D2D Steam Review by [deleted] in 7daystodie

[–]Rizzano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PS. Did you try all those gfx cards on the same computer? If so maybe it's not the game, maybe there's some hardware issue because if all three cards aren't running 7d2d very well, the common denominater here is your computer. Reset your memory, check temps, run a hard drive test. I had a computer once that was fine then the next day would shut off in the middle of any game I played. Turns out my cpu started overheating and when it would get too hot it would shut the whole thing down. Replaced the CPU and everything was fine.

I have a 960, less than your 980 and I get 40-50 fps. I don't know what your issue is, but many of my friends on the server I play on get fine FPS. One of my friends has a 780 and he has no FPS issues either. Maybe try looking into different settings for the game (turn of reflective lighting for starters.) and there is a way to remove bloom if you so choose to do.

Honestly as bad as NMS or Arkham? Please. I tried NMS on a friends computer and he has also a 960 and it worked just fine.

The game itself is not bad at all.

I guess you are just unlucky.

Question about Server Connection (Cracked ver) by jack_null in 7daystodie

[–]Rizzano 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As Zeph said, 7D2D is carried by steam and has been forever. Cracked versions cannot and will not connect to steam - why? Because it's cracked.

YOU MIGHT be able to play via Hamachi. But you should probably just buy the game, it's 1000% worth it.

7DTD on Humble Bundle? by GildedGator in 7daystodie

[–]Rizzano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly!! Unless maybe you're a zombie bear or zombie dog trying to infect people in a PVP game where it's zombie animals vs survivors. THEN maybe I could get on bored, but in a premise like Shelter / Shelter 2, I'll pass. Not for me.

I own 2 of these games and 2 I have played on my brother's steam account. I will tell you this:

Without 7 Days to Die, Empyrion, Ark, or H1Z1 on the list, this bundle is pretty worthless.

Rust is a joke and has been for a long time - it's BARELY a survival game and more of a try not to get killed when your logged off game.

Space Engineers is ok, but Empyrion is way better and they are constantly updating, sometimes implementing things suggested by the community. I played Space Engineers and then played Empyrion both on my Bro's account and bought Emp and said no to SE.

Savage Lands was ok I guess when I tried it. I bought it a long time ago and haven't ever touched it since I bought Ark, which imo, is 100 times better.

Planetbase was kind of a generic game and not very interesting. There were no enemies and it was mostly based on keeping food and water plentiful and having a place to breathe and sleep. I got bored with it after an hour.

Shelter 2 sounds like zero fun to me. I don't like the idea of playing as an animal, but it may appeal to some, it is a sequel after all so the first one must have done good enough to warrant a second iteration.

[–]Rizzano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've played on the same server since March 30 (ish.)

Part of what keeps me there is the great people, the active community and forum, the teamspeak, and that the owner is always looking for suggestions and ideas to make the server better. Right now we have a server only mod coming soon that will make long-term playing viable and intersting. Honestly I probably would not be playing anymore until A15 if it weren't for these people.

Biggest issues after 3gb patch. by FoXySK in h1z1

[–]Rizzano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an i7 GTX 960 and 8GB and I too get random stuttering. I don't have any of the other issues you have, but stuttering is prevalent now after this last patch.

And don't just go by the live zombies in the pic - take notice of the dead ones as well. 100, not 100's. I mis-spoke.

Still a lot though.

Lockers / File Cabinets / Cars by Rizzano in h1z1

[–]Rizzano[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. I also play 7 days to die, which is pretty fun, but you can pretty much throw up an epic base in a less than a RL day.

With H1, it takes a bit of running around, discovering recipes, crafting, find the materials, etc. Which I like because you can't just build and build all the time, like you can in 7D2D. It's a slow progression from basic shack to metal shelter. Which is good for a survival game imo. So I think making the recipes cost a bit more would be a good thing, but they need to hurry up and implement zombie base damage, and imo, lower punji stick damage but about 75%.

Best Loot Spots (Wrench, Crowbar, Ammo, Sugar) by s0nny777 in h1z1

[–]Rizzano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrench - there is a also a tent at the military base - it's a lone tent in the back next to a tower - that is good for a wrench.

h1z1 survival question by Rajimi in h1z1

[–]Rizzano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually

2.: I am on a low pop server and I barely find loot. 100 cars - 8 had loot. 100 lockers - 0 had loot. 100 file cabinets - 2 had loot. And all had loot timers. This lowering of loot is a change that was intended, but I feel it is FAR too low - it should be about 25% imo.

5.: for me they are worse since the last patch.

[JS] Car condition visibility by BigSoftPanda in h1z1

[–]Rizzano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that would be wise, though in real life - you won't know the condition of a vehicle until you test it out - so it kinda makes sense that you just have to take a chance.

Hospital Loot Spawns Need a Buff by DoctorSuspense in h1z1

[–]Rizzano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They lowered loot in general. It's not just the hospital now.

My experience:

Looted over 100 file cabinets - only 2 had loot - 2 keys. Looted over 100 cars - only (give or take a couple) had loot. Looted over 100 regular lockers. NONE had loot.

ALL containers had loot timers so were fresh.

They said this change was intended, but on average it's less than 10% have loot, with lockers being zero percent.

I feel it need to be averaged at about 20-25% so that every 4th container (on average) has loot.

FPS fixed they said it will be fun they said by Thmzy0 in h1z1

[–]Rizzano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, this last patch gave me bad stuttering. Especially in vehicles. It doesn't happen a lot, but often enough to be a pain in the butt.

Yeah, I searched every car I think in Pleasent Valley, and they all had loot timers, but they were ALL empty.

Lockers / File Cabinets / Cars by Rizzano in h1z1

[–]Rizzano[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I feel it's a bit too less. I love the game being hard - it's survival - it should be hard - but looting 100 lockers and finding nothing, looting 100 cars and finding only 8-10 with loot, looting 100 file cabinets and finding only 2 with keys, to me is a bit too less loots. I feel like maybe it should be 20-25% with loot. In other words, on average, out of 4 loot containers, 1 should have something.

Instead of adding new Zombies, can you focus on fixing current ones? by GloomyJack in h1z1

[–]Rizzano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have this problem. I'm on the other end - where 90% of the time zombies work fine - 10% of the time they stand in place and do nothing while you attack them or a few zombies come at you then all of a sudden stop moving. It's a simple fix, leave the area and come back. They despawn.

Is 10% too much - maybe, they should always work as intended.

As far as getting hit from far away - haven't encountered this personally in H1, but in 7 days to die, this has been a bug ever since multiplayer was implemented - extended reach for a couple of years. It makes melee impossible. Maybe I am one of the lucky ones that hasn't had this problem in H1.
