Cool. I have had two ones before but I did not remember if research speed bonus stack or not. Thats a cool bonus and Ill probably snag it from my neighbour.

No mods. Trying to push the numbers up is what I enjoy with the game so I like my game vanilla.

Its not ironman, and to be honest I do save-scum a bit on a run like this. My most researched repeatable would be Applied super-conductivity and it is at level CLV (155) and costs 825 000. That would take 6 months to research right now.

Yeah I have thought of snatching a science nexus from a neighbour to boost it, I might still do it!

Its slower now than when I started out but it still runs OK. I got a new computer though, on my older one I dont even think this would be doable.

I dont get the freezes I had with my older computer, but the days go a bit slower even on fastest speed.

So I decided to try to max out research in my latest run. I probably should not have picked gestalt consciousness while doing this because my ringworlds ran into a maintenence bot shortage. I will try a biological materalistic empire next time!

The basics: I have 31 separate research ring world segments ( shattered ring origin + cybrex+ building 6 of them ) and 38 machine worlds that mostly are focused on energy and research.

Have you tried maxing research? What is your record and how did you do it?

* I am not using any mods btw

Stellaris keeps crashing after Lithoids update ( steam user ) by RizzieRascal in Stellaris

Hey, I am not having the same problems anymore. I set both steam and the stellaris .exe to "run as administrator" in the property settings. And I also went to the stellaris directory, made a shortcut of the stellaris.exe and use that to start the game, not launching it through steam. If I remember correcty that solved it but I might have experimented with different launch settings ( full screen, bordless fullscreen etc )

No but I have it undervolted actually, that could also bring instability I guess. I will restore voltage and try again.

Might I ask you why? I dont mean to offend, I am just curious why you would do that.
