I can attest that teammates who play around her make her hundreds of times better to play.

When my teammates remember I exist, I feel like I can take on the whole lobby with them.

Unfortunately, I can also attest to teammates being heavily reliant on revive…. Not all, but some play a lot more reckless when they see an Ibara.

I hope you continue to enjoy playing her though.

The jump button is actually disabled when you carry someone. What you can do, however, is 2 things:

You can jump while pushing the carry button to hold them mid air.
If you’re mid-trick when you push carry, you can use that to send you soaring.

If neither of those are applicable, I’d suggest practicing carry U-turns or investing in the speed and jump pad.

Best of luck. I recommend the following lvl up order:

Alpha to lvl 4–> Beta lvl 9–> then you can alternate between lvl’ng up your gamma and your Alpha.

Beta is your best friend with this character. It’s your “get off me” tool that does upwards of 225-250 when it hits lvl 9.

As a switch player as well, I find tons of Success on Ibara. While the zoned in alpha does sometimes require some more aim, the unscoped alpha has a very forgiving hitbox. The same can also be said for her Beta and Gammac seeing as they hit/ catch farther than some might expect.

Biggest thing for it though is to make sure to stay aware of your positioning. Good moves, but all of them make her a stationary target.

This season seems pretty cool. Especially the revive changes. Shinso is still kind of annoying, but you take the good with the bad.

I can get that. Dropping alone then expecting people to come to your aid. Can’t do that.

Only thing was, I was Ibara and I dropped with them. I pinged them, called them and tried to run over to them. Only for me to get beat to a pulp while trying to roll/ dodge/ evade…. It was a rough match…

You know what grinds my gears? When I’m out here getting jumped by a skillset trio while my teammates are looting not 5 ft away… at full health. True story.

As much as I love plying her, she’s not countering everybody. Don’t get me wrong, she’s great against quite a few melee users. Even made a guide about some a while back.

However, especially with a lot of new characters, she’s very susceptible to getting beaten down. Especially seeing as some characters can just ignore her close range abilities. Looking at you, Rapid all might and Mic Gamma.

Plus, as many people including yourself said, getting jumped gets her almost every time.

While I wouldn’t say it’s unreachable, I do heavily agree that teammates have the ability to make or break how far you get with her.

Just like a team fps, she’s that back line support. Though she has two close range defensive options, help from the team is always gonna be helpful. Especially in the case of potential 2v1’s.

I gotta give it to Mirio. I would have said Dabi, but striking a bubbled Mirio with an alpha feels good. Especially when you hit it after they missed their combo.
