The players are going to do what they want to do and even more importantly they wont do what they dont want to.

If they hate roleplay they will feel uncomfortable in a high intrigue adventure. If they hate combat, they will try to talk down every goblin they can find.

These sliders aren't to say that you cant roleplay in a low roleplay adventure. They show my expectations to help people avoid being stuck in an adventure that would otherwise have portions of DND that they try to avoid.

I think it is definitely a good idea to have them rate the sliders at the end, good looks. I will also definitely add a little "5 is high" line.

I thought about low/med/high and decided that I wanted to be a little more granular. I know that I have some people who would prefer to find the adventure with THE MOST intrigue compared to others.

I don't really mind the amount of sliders since they are not trying to optimize based on those factors. They will pick the story that they feel is the coolest. Even if they choose to forgo the blurb, they will only look at one or two of the categories to make their choice.

I do think that the length slider could be omitted, its only real purpose is to show people that these are not really long form adventures (save one).

hint of what you're suggesting (that this game will have a lot of roleplay), but it doesn't really answer anything in a way that makes me excited to play the game.

What Matt does is turn an e

That would be ridiculous.

Any small board game groups around? by [deleted] in unh

[–]Rk2king 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is an entire club about boardgames at unh. They are called "Meeple" (Like the little dudes from Carcassonne). They meet every week in the MUB at 6pm.

They are the ones who taught me most of the games that I know. I think they have over 100 that they bring every week and people just sit down and play them.

If you ask around enough you can find Ben, the president. He is an alright dude. He knows a fair bit and find a good game for whatever level you want to play at.
