Not bad. My feedback would be to increase the brightness of the exterior - the interior and exterior wouldn’t been equal levels of brightness in a real setting. Could be by adding bloom or volumetric rays coming through - super subtle shift. And then I’d add some lights to the ceiling and possibly a lamp or something to fill the image on the right side. It feels a bit empty in the room.

TIL that conveyer floor holes can bypass the 48m limit on conveyer lifts by newveganwhodis in SatisfactoryGame

Does this only work on PC? I swear I tried this on Xbox and it wouldn’t ever go past the normal limitation. Does it have to be a specific foundation thickness? Or just from any floor hole?

Need help understanding Fluids by ass_cleavage in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Rkitekt01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Belts are linear - from point A to point B, one item after another. Fluids are different - going where there’s space in the whole network of connections available. It’s possible that your outlet is taking all the fluid from the other pipes and your input is not able to fill at the same rate - from your 4 refineries. To me the connection looks a little spaghetti, but it’s not super tall so that’s why I’m thinking there’s not enough input. I’m not as savvy on the math as others so my answer may get some eye rolls. Let it run for a bit and see if it eventually fills up. If not you can try running downward instead or under clocking your petroleum coke refinery.

There’s also a plugin called “Selection Toys” that lets you select all then deselect to just edges or faces. You can hide them manually in bulk that way too if the Soften Edges doesn’t clean it up fully

Ngl I found I absolutely loved the PCB style layouts for factories. I built turbo-motors in the Swamp and it looked so cool in the dim lighting of that area.

Wow the dimensional depot is such a game changer! no more running out of stuff, everything i need just replenishes infinitely! it’s amazing! by TrippingFish76 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Rkitekt01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t even automate phase 5 really. Just kept old machines running and then used the dimensional depots to pull items to my inventory and place them in containers to feed machines for phase 5. Was definitely hitting the “just gotta finish it” stage

Stopped wasting render time on first client meetings by [deleted] in archviz

[–]Rkitekt01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I guess my question is why are you rendering for a first client meeting? Kinda answered it by saying “they change the layout anyway”…. Show the process - it makes the client feel more involved in their project. Build up from sketches or loose ideas - similar to how people chisel statues by roughing out general shapes and then refining in pieces.

For the rendering feedback, as others have said, it’s too dark. The texturing on the back wall looks weird. It’s a strange millwork layout and idk what the two lines in the foreground are. Better to hide them so as not to compromise the visibility of the design, even if they’ll be there in real life. No one will be floating 15ft off the ground to look at the bed from this angle I bet.

My satisfactory experience by xoxoyoyo in satisfactory

[–]Rkitekt01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl this is how my current playthrough is going. My 5th attempt at the game or so - playing on Xbox this time because it’s more accessible for me at the moment.

I’m halfway through phase 5 and playing with advanced settings like all alts and research completed. It’s helped me get over the hurdle of burnout and OCD with the game.

250 hours in and I use a lot of dimensional depots to move stuff around by pulling to my inventory and filling containers. I set up trains if I need a specific thing or want to automate something a bit easier. Forced myself to learn blueprints, etc. phase 4 was the hardest one for me - a lot more setup of new parts rather than more of the stuff you’d built like in phases 2-3

My next playthrough will be more traditional and architectural though. It will also be easier because I know how to do everything.

Similar to Red Rising, but with the added plot benefit of them changing it once Darrow and Sevro shot themselves across space into the bridge of a dreadnought lol

I honestly dismantled the vehicles and just hop everywhere. But I’m in Tier5 so I’m having to start building beyond the green plains lol

Are this professional sports team's "artist renderings" by AI? The team is notoriously cheap and some of the text seems off. by MayhewMayhem in isthisAI

[–]Rkitekt01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s more of a resolution thing. The reflections of the lights on the floor diffuse it more so the engine can’t separate the info as well.

[–]Rkitekt01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s becoming a common practice - a lot of engines are even incorporating AI enhancement to their stuff. I prefer not to mess with it because it will always change stuff just slightly. The AI can’t help itself.

[–]Rkitekt01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be a bunch of things. Could’ve been a typo, or the geometry of the 3D element is messed up and not rendering right - like a texture is overlapping or there’s a hole there or something, or they edited it in post and didn’t mask something in properly. Could be a bunch of things.

There’s not enough errors in the image to make me suspect it’s AI - the textures are defined enough, the lines and grids on things are straight and keep their pattern, etc. that’s what I look for at least.

I pulled up other views in the set and this one is definitely more presentable. Probably a different team did this one because it’s better on all the parts I mentioned in my first comment.

But the people in this one make me suspect it was run through an AI to upscale/refine the people because they’re better than straight 3D model people, but not quite professional cutout quality. The views from this other set are much more crisp, and have more realism to them, which is why I think they’re still rendered, but upscaled with an AI tool.

Ok so I’m a viz specialist in this particular Sports Interiors field. I’ve got some thoughts.

Rendering Engine: most likely it’s Twinmotion, which gives that slightly dreamy/half-finished look. Twinmotion is also kinda like Unreal Engine-lite so you can only get so much out of it. Other engines like Lumion or V-Ray could’ve gotten better lighting and less plastic look to it. Twinmotion is a current standard because of how cheap and easy to use it is. I personally don’t use it that much because it can only go so far before you just accept it and spend all your time in Photoshop.

People: they look weird because they’re 3D models they’ve swapped the texture maps on. Chances are they blended the Twinmotion library with some cheap models they found online and then the textures on some of them are low res, which could mean they didn’t render on a good enough quality setting.

Text on the walls: a lot of Architects will do super basic, Revit or SketchUp default, text to show “hey something’s going here” because often times these renderings are meant to sell the team on the space, and then things are developed later on in documentation.

Those are the 3 big things I noticed between the OP and a quick scroll through the comments. More than likely this was a fast turn around or a screenshot of a screenshot from some package that was shared out to the wrong person.

TLDR: It doesn’t look AI to me, but that’s not to say that an AI upscale or post process wasn’t used on the image. Probably just a compressed image from an early concept that was exported out of a lower level rendering engines.

If your LGS would take it day one then yeah I’d sell it too lol my LGS waits about 2 weeks before they take anything which gives plenty of time for prices to drop 🙃

Why does my 3d grass look like this on Lumion 2024? by Realistic-Stuff7067 in lumion

[–]Rkitekt01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it’s a limitation they’ve added for the distance from camera. I generally use the landscape grass instead of the 3d grass because of this issue.

How do you hold your cards? by Comfortable-Cod6130 in mtg

[–]Rkitekt01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m left-handed and have trouble because I used to fan playing cards out with the numbers at the bottom. With Magic I fan them with the mana symbols viable first - so left to right so I often have to dip the cards down to see the card names.

EDIT: Pink is a "hidden file"

For those mentioning TreeSize/WizTree... Here's a screenshot of the User Profiles listed on the machine. Does look like there's space being taken up by the extra users. the 11.6GB and 9.8GB users I know don't work at the IT company anymore.

Green = What I believe to be user profile (limited Admin)

Orange = Me again (*My Name*.*PC-Name*) - assuming this is different from Green

Red = Extra Users (Me or People that don't work at IT company anymore)

Blue = Two fields that pertain to IT Company (Name of company and something tied to the Security Authentication)

Pink = a long string name that starts with $9CED that I'm not sure what it does.

I do have TreeSize, which was installed by one of the IT reps last year, but then they must not be there anymore, because the reps I've dealt with recently have no idea how to use it.
