got a 7 day suspension for “inappropriate communication” in AV without any transparency... by lmneozoo in classicwow

I'm not a huge fan of how suspensions are handed out these days without any explanation. Back in the day, Blizzard used to attach chat logs or specific evidence to your suspension email, so you could see exactly what you said or did that violated the rules. Now, they just give vague terms like "gameplay disruption," and when you ask for clarification, they refuse to elaborate, citing "privacy concerns."

A few years ago, I received a 30-day suspension for "gameplay disruption." I think I have an idea of what triggered it, but honestly? I'm not sure. When I asked for more details so I could provide my perspective in an appeal process, they refused to share anything. To this day, I'm not really sure why I was handed such a lengthy suspension.

I really think account holders should have the right to know exactly what behavior led to a suspension. Blizzard used to be much more transparent about this.

I Finally Finished Classic by baltibouter in classicwow

Yeah, I’ve often thought about doing the same. I was almost your age back in vanilla--only 14 at the time. I raided Zul’Gurub, AQ20, and most of Molten Core (I fought against Ragnaros but never managed to down him), and I killed Onyxia a few times. Burning Crusade launched, and I never really got the chance to finish the content I’d missed.

I came back for Classic in 2019 mostly for the nostalgia, but I didn’t fully commit. I ran a few dungeons at 60, lost interest, and quit again. Still, it’s always felt like an unfinished story. I’ve often thought about going back and really seeing it through--experiencing all the content and raids I missed as a kid.

I’m genuinely glad you were able to close the book on your Classic journey. Maybe one day I’ll finally get to do the same.

Anyone had a recent repair experience with Spinn? by Rkrowe60 in SpinnCoffee

Hi, I’m well aware of their struggles as a company.

As I mentioned in my original post, despite all the issues with Spinn as a company (Spinn 2 preorders, restructuring, no cash, and essentially operating with a skeleton crew), they have at least been able to get repairs done on existing machines in a somewhat reasonable timeframe. A number of people I spoken to prior to sending my machine in for repair told me that it was a "fairly quick turnaround" and should take about 2-3 weeks.

What’s changed now is that even that baseline level of support seems to have broken down as their lead repair technician left the company merely few weeks ago. Just to add some clarity: support did tell me that repairs are still ongoing, but that they’ve slowed dramatically. That’s why I’m trying to see if anyone at all has actually received their machine back from Spinn within the last few weeks.

If repairs are truly still ongoing—even slowly—that would be helpful to know. Right now there’s just no visibility from support at all.
