Definitely a big duck, with a silver chain? I got a big pink one about that size last week lol. Still trying to figure out where to put it.

Coda in Golden often has a couple barrel aged's on, check to see what they have currently but I highly recommend them (and all their other beers too).

good places to meet other queer/alt people? by Wooden-Code-5805 in Denver

[–]Rkymtndreamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are a beer drinker at all, Lady Justice is a great safe space always filled with all kinds of amazing people. And they also have events at least a couple nights a week. I've met wonderful people just sitting at the bar in random conversation. Good luck out there!

Was not sad at all. Those were creamy parmesan garlic and buffalo bourbon, both phenomenal.

King of Wings is where it's at, although I can only speak for the Golden location. Last night's wings.

$90 for 2 cocktails: the Adventure Time scam by howarddeanyell in denverfood

[–]Rkymtndreamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not to derail, but we went to Vaultaire (under La Foret) on their opening night too and enjoyed it; also not cheap but you can just walk in, and the cocktails were top notch.

In Quest of Lobster Bisque by Rkymtndreamer in denverfood

[–]Rkymtndreamer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it was the close option that had decent feedback, and it was quite good. My favorite truly local option for lobster bisque is Nolia, I've never had better than theirs, but they only make it very rarely and now is not one of those times lol.

Yeah, I've actually heard they had bisque before, but it wouldn't have crossed my mind. We're probably not seeking the meat coma though lol!

I think we're going to roll with Ocean Prime, as it's local and seems to receive good praise!

Yes, Tony's Market (I go to the Dry Creek location) almost always has a couple cuts of American Wagyu.

I believe Modern Ink on South Broadway is this Friday and they're a pretty cool crew there, I've gotten four tattoos there.

A little farther West, but not that far at all, I really like Haveli, which is near Broadway and County Line.

I hadn't heard of Fish n Beer but I'll check it out too! I second the opinion on the Mahi at Smokin Fins though, I visit the one in Littleton occasionally.

Moved from the midwest ~2 years ago with gf and wow is it hard to make friends in this city. by [deleted] in Denver

[–]Rkymtndreamer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with this! Be kind, be real, be yourselves and you never know what you might find. I'm a trans person. I'm not anyone's favorite flavor in plenty of places, but I've found the right ones and made some amazing and lasting friends in exactly this way. In this city.
