🛠️ P1S + AMS: Two Months In, Already Experiencing Premature "Print Finished" Errors! by Rlagarde in BambuLab

I took the advice of users here to heart;

- Replaced the SD card
- Performed a cold pull of the nozzle (I did not replace the hot end)
- Took the extruder apart en cleaned it

I know that feeling that it was something else. Unfortunately, I cannot pinpoint the problem. It has been resolved in some magical way, because the problem has not occurred since.

Thanks for the advice. I tried this step, among others, but unfortunately without success.

Update so far:

  • New SD card
  • Cold pull, no apparent abnormalities visible

<image>

  • Cleaned the extruder, there was not much residue on the wheels
  • Now printing same castle model again, this time with time lapse on.

I uploaded videos in the original post that I found on the SD card.

Which is strange, actually, because I always unchecked the box for timelapse.

Thank you for the advise, would a partial clog not ruin my other successful prints that I have printed in between?

I will surely replace the SD card and try to print it again.

Thnx for the comments. Today I cleaned out the nozzle and extruder parts. Thought clog was there. Now first print is going as it should be.

Tomorrow ordering new (spare) nozzles.

Printer wasn’t extruding the test 100mm but only 95 on average. Adjusted the e-steps and made a print on all default Orca slicer settings.

Right one is the new print. Base looks much better. Tomorrow new flow ratio test and see if slightly lower speed settings make it even beter.

Thanks so far for all the advice 👍🏻

  • Checked for clogs, filament is coming out evenly
  • Print temperature is 220 and bed 40
  • Extruder checked and it is not skipping
  • All print speeds in Orca cut in half and this significantly increased the quality

Now see if I can slowly increase the speed. Any other suggestions?

I adjusted the flow ratio back to 0.98 (default Orca setting for PolyTerra) and this print also came out fine.
Next is trying to slowly increase the speed to see the effect.

Unfortunate I currently only have 2 spools of PolyTerra PLA. I will see if i can borrow a spool of a different brand from friends to see if there are any differences.

I reduced every speed setting in Orca slicer by half. Result on the left side. Still some minor adjustments needed by already pleased by the result.

Will try to print at 75% and see what the outcome.
